I really love this story of young Hector and family. The way you write about him and Ernesto felt like close friends in childhood, and guys being 'guys' with terrible song lyrics (made me laugh about the donkey, brothel and honeycomb). I love the soft yet stern Imelda, her scenes made her felt believable, her fierceness and yet loving sides. Thank you

After reading the painful story of the afterwards, this was like a warm blanket of good feelings.

I adore Papa!Hector and you wrote their whole family dynamic so well. I'm so glad Hector didn't get completely chewed out (I pitied the guy) and Imelda's reactions were spot-on throughout.
Honestly, biggest suggestion?
Change the story description. I very nearly didn't read this because I didn't care much about reading about Hector and Ernesto being juvenile boys, but that's not what this story it's about. It's about Hector trying to be a good father, and Ernesto making that difficult.
Seriously though, such a sweet, lovely fic!
