I like the idea of this rewrite. I also believe Naruto would better utilize Shouangsho Jian like the Seven Star Sword from the 5th One Piece movie. Something he can use with 2 hands when he doesn't have time to use hand-sign techniques.
Any Naruto fan can point out Kimimaru. Vivi would be the best godmother in my opinion. Law would be the best option for a mentor for Sasuke and be a competent swordsman teacher for him at the same time to serve as a proper rival for Naruto. Honestly Doflamingo would be best in the Akatsuki. Tsunade Naruto's original godmother show up in wave being asked questions from Naruto with Robin's tempered handling sounds like the best option.

Jinbe should have the rivalry with kisame.
Sasuke's mentor should be Law.
I vote Doflamingo joins the Akatsuki.
Kozuki Hiyori should be their godmother.
Tsunade and Shizune should go to Wave.
Tsunade should stay 5th Hokage, she made a pretty good one in canon.
I vote Naruto should have a wakizashi.

By the way, onii-san means older brother, onee-san is older sister. They can also be shortened to nii-san and nee-san.

rivalry: kisame and jimbe (i see zoro having more of a rivlry with bee, who uses 8 swords, or anonther of the 7 swordsmen)

sasuke defense mentor: dunno, dpends on the context, and i o not have that

akatsuki: either enel or doflmingo both are delusional for it, my first choice is pobally doflamingo

godparent: kozuki Hiyori

waves: zoro and yamato (though i do hope to see nami and hatchi im the story sometime)

5th hokage: jiraya, simply because he will have to curb his perverted impulses to be a good ruler, otherwise, probally kakashi

a sword (probally a katana) infused with a zoan devil fruit (like spandam's sword) i think naruto would keeps it as a pet most of the time

well I can't wait for an even better version of this than as I thought it was good now. Your ideas are different and interesting as for the polls.

1) Jinbe, Zoro already has Sanji as a rival and I like the friendly rivalry your giving him with Might Guy, no need to have him have more rivals. Besides maybe Jinbe thinks that if he can stop Kisame or possibly make him change it'll be in a way somewhat atoning for everything Arlong has done.

2) Law, I love Katukuri training Sasuke but Law can relate to him on a much deeper scale. Law would probably see a little of himself before he met Corazon and might feel obligated to help him. He could give him personal firsthand experience that going down the path of revenge is bloody.

3) Doflamingo, definitely has to be Doflamingo.
Eneru has a god complex and I don't see him working with or for anyone. Jack is a bit of an unknown and Crocodile I'm not sure how it would work out or why he would want to. But Doflamingo would be attracted to the chaos they cause and would definitely want them to cause more. Doflamingo is a truly charismatic evil that would love to watch the world burn.

4) Hiyori, I feel she would be an interesting choice and I'd love to see more interactions with her.

5) Tsunade and Shizune, its definitely a unique idea that I have never heard done before.

6) Tsunade, I like jiraya but him not taking the hokage position makes perfect sense with his character. As for Kakashi if you still have things follow Canon and have the third hokage die when orochimaru invades the leaf, at that point Kakashi could still use a little bit more seasoning before he becomes hokage.

7) I think Narutos weapon should be something overly big and over the top, something similar to Zabuza's weapon or Guts dragon slayer from berserk. A large weapon would fit with Narutos flashy style and honestly usually they don't have a lot of technique, it's usually just swing this at the other guy and overpower him which again I think would suit naruto.

Jimbe and kisame as rivals, now that would be an awesome fight to see, read in this case. As Sasuke's mentor, I'll like to see how law would handle that. Doflamingo for the Akatsuki, Aokiji for a godparent. Tsunade should be in the land of waves arc and as the fifth hokage.

I'd give naruto either a scimitar or a shirasaya those are my 2 favourite swords.
