What a heavy chapter learning about what happened to prosecutor Phoenix was rough and gives abit more in depth about his panic attack. Though Kay’s mention was brief it does bring up a question of what would happen if cannon’s Kay meet prosecutor Phoenix. He would probably act kind to her given his history with his own version (if similar to Miles). Trucy wouldn’t be to happy with her Phoenix q

I really liked the descriptions of Phoenix getting so many get well gifts. Even though it did quite bewilder Phoenix, because he's not nearly as popular in his true world lol. I love the small touches like the Feys leaving him a card, even though there's... tension with Mia and Phoenix. And the little reveal of Lana remaining a detective. IT'S WHAT LANA DESERVES

Though I have to wonder if we'll find out why Auntie Trish raised Phoebe, over Phoebe's parents... I don't know, the fact that Trish and Phoebe aren't too keen to discuss it piques my interest... But anyways, I like the little mysteries you're sprinkling in though! The biggest is Damon, but I liked Kay's little note to Phoenix too! Poor Phoenix is outta the loop lol

The note from Diego also cracked me up lol. I'm curious how he turned out in this verse tbh.

I love the exchange between Phoenix and Edgeworth too though! The interrogation was GREAT and I loved Phoenix maintaining a poker face (until Edgeworth trips him up lol). But regardless I loved how Phoenix was channeling his AJ!Phoenix lol. Though it did crack me up when Phoenix was like "haha, is that all you've got, Edgeworth?"

Though I'm laughing at Edgeworth's smugness when he tricked Phoenix and Phoenix is just "CURSES! DONE IN BY MY OWN TRADEMARK!" (Phoenix pls) It cracked me up how Phoenix and Edgeworth literally devolve into elementary school boys when they're around each other lol

But OOF, Edgeworth calling Phoenix by his first name! It really shows how taken aback he is with Phoenix's whole situation... Especially since he apparently completely forgotten how his parents' death

AND MAN THE FLASHBACK!

All of it was so tragic... They were just little boys! They wanted to enjoy Signal Samurai! THEY DIDN'T ASK FOR ANY OF THIS

Phoebe happily smooching Phoenix is so sweet but then it's just... oh wait... soon she won't be giving him kisses AT ALL.

But god, the build up. Phoebe trying to reassure Phoenix that everything will be okay WHEN IT'S NOT. And the bickering between Nicholas and Phoebe just made me so sad, because they're so happy! and they love each other! But hahaha nope they get killed soon :(

Though Edgeworth's reaction to mice being up there lol. I mean, relatable but... Phoenix is just "Miles, come on, we gotta stay quiet!"

I love the mysteries you keep introducing. It keeps people wondering and wondering... You sprinkle in just enough hints to really pique people's interest.

But oh boy... the boys investigating... And poor Miles trying to protect Phoenix from being traumatized by his parents' corpses. He tried his best but it wasn't enough :( Though it did warm my heart to see Dad Gregory, because he really was an amazing father! The way he hugged both boys... It hurts!

The ending though... I really do like Phoenix being adamant on going to Gregory's funeral. Edgeworth is so taken aback since they're NOT friends anymore which hurts... But I do hope that canon!Phoenix will be able to mend the rift between Prosecutor!Phoenix and Edgey

I gush about your chapters ALL. THE. TIME. but this really was amazing! It knocked my socks off! Great job, Erin, and I eagerly await the next chapter!

This was such a great chapter! It's amazing to finally see this part written out. I remember back when you first told me about this.

And I love all the Capcom references! I immediately noticed the Devil May Cry and Resident Evil references. And I'm so glad you went with the current title. It's too great of a meme to NOT do. I also love all the characters referenced with the get well soon letters, especially the Skye sisters and Kay. I really can't wait to see more of her.

I loved the battle of wits between Phoenix and Edgeworth. Phoenix doesn't get enough credit for how smart he is. Of course he's also a huge dork but you don't get to be known as the Turnabout Terror without being smart. I love how you detailed Phoenix's thought process and show his experience. It’s nice to see references to his time as Hobo Nick and his time as a poker champ.

The whole flashback was so intense, especially knowing what’s coming. Phoenix’s parents are wonderful. It was so painful reading Phoenix see their dead bodies :( what a painful memory for Miles to have to retell to Phoenix. You could feel the fear and terror in Phoenix and Miles. Gosh why are you so mean?! They're only ten years old! And now you made Edgeworth have to recall it all! You ruined perfectly good children that's what you did. Look at them they've got PTSD.

I do love seeing this universe’s Edgeworth start to reconcile with Phoenix, even if it’s not the Phoenix he knows. He and Phoenix didn’t get to fix things between them like their main universe counterparts did. Though it is still sad that they've got literally decades with that rift between them.

This was a great chapter and I enjoyed editing it but you get way too into wanting to traumatize your readers.

But for real, this chapter just hits me where it hurts. You wrote it splendidly. Phoenix and Miles didn't deserve such trauma and heartache :( No wonder Prosecutor Nick is so broken. He needs ALL THE HUGS!

I also enjoyed all the scenes with Miles and Nick. Their friendship isn't the same in the prosecutorverse, but it's nice to see them banter with each other like in the canonverse. They're such best friends and I love it. And of course Nick's gonna go to Gregory's funeral, hospital staff and Franziska be damned! I love him! I just know he's gonna heal the hurt currently in Prosecutor Nick's life. He does have a strange power for righting a bunch of wrongs (lol at my pun).

Great job as always! Looking forward to the next chapter!

That was a very uplifting ending. Friendship restored. I do wonder how the details of the night of phoenix's parents murder will come up later on.

Also I adored seeing alternate Apollo and Athena again. But damn. Athena Blackquill, never saw that coming.

Phoenix missing Trucy hurt. Like I wanted to start crying.

AND MISTY! She’s here! Seeing her interact with Edgeworth was great! She’s such a great mom! I actually did tear up when the two of them hugged and just grieved together. A bittersweet way to end the chapter, well done.

Aww yeah! Another long chapter and a very amazing one! I do wonder where Trucy could be. Oh and dont worry, my tears will definitely sustain ya!
