Okay, this last chapter helped me get on board. I liked the noir/horror movie vibe of the the first few chapters, but I felt like something was missing (honestly, I'm not sure what. If I figure it out, I'll let you know). This chapter was focused more on character, so maybe that has something to do with. As a reader, I've always enjoyed those smaller moments that help to explore each character's personality and motivations.

Only one thing is bothering me at this point: What kind of monster would bully Jeri?

Anyway, keep it up. I definitely want to see where this story goes.
