Quietness731 chapter 30 . 5/24 Absolutely fantastic story. Loved how you captured the heroes and the general lifestyle of the people living in the hamlet. I look forward eagerly to another chapter. |
andrewwhiting96 chapter 27 . 4/27 Bosc and Dismas are cute. |
ChocolateTeapot chapter 30 . 3/19 Great chapter! Bosc’s thoughts about the Heiress’ health were interesting. I liked Fitzrolf’s musings about almost having died. Medley’s prayed plea was good. Mathan’s thoughts about everything having just become a routine were very good. I really liked the idea that he’s happy to stay if the place is keeping Lulubelle alive. The start of Loucelle’s entry sounds hopeful, which works well as providing a high to slide down from into what is the most alarming section of this chapter. Not just his bitterness having diminished but most of his feeling is sad. |
Evil Reviewer chapter 30 . 3/11 Yay! |
Guest chapter 29 . 3/26/2019 This is amazing! I read the whole thing this night, and I enjoyed every part of this story and your previous darkest dungeon stories! The characters are well written and interesting, and the plot is both close to the story of the game and able to keep me wondering about what will happen next! I hope you are doing well, and I hope you finish this story! |
Skrucha chapter 29 . 2/2/2019 thanks for writing the fic, discovered the first set earlier today and finished them both in one sitting enjoyed it a ton, looking forward to seeing how the story ends |
JA16025 chapter 1 . 11/24/2018 Hi really big fan of these journal entries! I read both stories in two days and I could not get over Reynaulds death, Im so attached to my Lepers lmao Anyway, I love the concept you're exploring and the way you write it is really great! Can't wait for the next installment! |
ChocolateTeapot chapter 29 . 10/12/2018 Great chapter! Dacre’s worship of and self-nullification before the crystal is fittingly obsessive and unnerving. Corbiere’s thoughts about no longer caring about getting blood on his clothes made me smile. Hue answering her own question is a neat and I like Bardiche continuing to work on the book. The Heiress’ part is definitely my favourite. The opening line of her diary is really gripping. Her trying to take some action against it is great too. |
JohnJoestar17 chapter 29 . 10/8/2018 The plot thickens. Guess the Heart still has a lingering influence even after its defeat. Looking forward to the showdown against the Sleeper. |
JohnJoestar17 chapter 28 . 9/18/2018 Finally caught up. Things are developing in interesting ways, and I love it since it means there are things you won't experience in the base game. I also enjoy the little hints about the outside world that you don't get in the base game or character comics. I'm looking forward to how the fight with the Sleeper goes down. |
JohnJoestar17 chapter 22 . 9/18/2018 I love Bosc's reaction to people taking shard dust. Definitely seems like how a woman of science would react. Also, what exactly is Dacre's nature? Is she just a heretic or part of a cult that worships the Heart of Darkness? Seems like she'll be the second adventurer to turn traitor. |
JohnJoestar17 chapter 19 . 9/14/2018 I don't think even Dismas is prepared for the otherworldly madness that has consumed the Farmstead. And I guess Bervedent or her creation will come back to haunt the Heiress sooner or later. |
JohnJoestar17 chapter 15 . 9/14/2018 Poor Librarian, another victim of the Estate. Also, hurray for the Musketeer's debut! I don't know why, but she's in my top 5 favorite classes. |
JohnJoestar17 chapter 12 . 9/14/2018 Poor Librarian, slowly losing her sanity to the Hamlet's corruption. Did I also mention how much I love your hints at how utterly harrowing the boss battles were? On a side note, Fortier is the name of one of my Vestals. |
ChocolateTeapot chapter 28 . 9/10/2018 Good chapter! Thorel’s wondering and decision to ask others for answers was a strong opening. His brief comment on what I guess is the end of Dacre was also interesting. Fitzroy remembering her oceanic hunt when going to the Cove was neat. The description of the crab was great. I really liked Aljarhaa’s thought’s about the Collector. Seeing Pettiloup seriously considering quitting is an interesting change from everyone who feels bound to the place. Fortier’s thoughts on sickness were also excellent. |
