Just found this story and I’m amazed that it has so few reviews! I really like how you’re not afraid to change storylines...it gets so boring and predictable when a fanfic is the same basic canon plot from the show with an OC or two thrown in. With new people, things *would* change! Can I make a request though? I always thought the Grady hospital cops sideplot was one of the most poorly-written and unnecessary plots of the entire show so far...but whether you choose to keep Beth alive or kill her (and whether her death is the poorly-written show version or she dies later on in your story), I really, really hope you change Maggie’s reaction to Daryl’s news that Beth was kidnapped, but alive. It positively INFURIATED me how the writers had Maggie convince Glenn they should go north to DC with a bunch of strangers AFTER Daryl told her that her sister was alive. It makes sense that she focused on Glenn when she escaped the prison because let’s face it, Beth doesn’t have the strongest survival skills and Maggie had no reason or proof to think she was alive...but now, with Daryl, she KNOWS that her little sister is alive and it made absolutely no goddamn sense to me on the show that she would just up and abandon her to her fate...because as Daryl told her, the kidnappers went out of their way to KIDNAP her, as in take her alive. And Maggie has been around long enough in the post-apocalyptic world to know what men do to pretty, young girls like Beth. So not only does she know that Beth is alive and held captive, she would also have known that in all likelihood, the kidnappers took her for the purpose of raping her. From Maggie’s character up until that point and given her own experience with the Governor, I refuse to believe Maggie would have just noped the fuck off a few states away, leaving her baby sister to be gang-raped. Nah. The writers really fucked up that entire plotline. So yeah, whatever your plans are for Beth, pleasepleaseplease have Maggie to be the strong, loving sister we all know she is and STAY to rescue Beth!

Seeing Merl become one of them was hard and I felt so bad for Daryl! I almost started crying again reading this but loved the additions to it though.
