I loved the story, but for future reference the Christmas armistice is known from WWI not WWII. Other than that, great writing!

Awww. :) It was so so so sweet when they all started singing Silent Night in different languages. This whole thing was sweet. I love the attention to details–"Hazel had gotten married young.… She had gotten married before finishing her legion service, and had had to petition the senate to do it." And "Children of Athena, as it turns out, do not usually have children. Family tradition and all." It's lovely that Frank made it back on Christmas.
