I never knew I needed this story in my life but I am so glad it is because I love this so much!

So I'm catching up on reviews from a few weeks of reading.

This...this was great. I loved Teddy not realising the nun in the picture is Shelagh. For me the whole story raised two big points that the show may have to cover. Angela's adoption and Shelagh's life as a nun being explained to her kids. It's so easy to forget when you're watching that Timothy is fully aware of everything but his younger siblings are ignorant of a lot (even the fact Timothy is not their mum's biological child no doubt) and I so want to reach that point in the show where these things have to be explained. But this was perfect and excellently written to ride me over until then!

"Some nun"! Oh, that was fantastic! That and the "more ketchup than food" thing. (My brother used to do that!)

Very nice observation about the "bachelors" photos being taken by others.

My family looks at old photos every year on "Gotcha Day" (the anniversary of the day we first met, or "got," my sister.) Angela's mixed reaction to the old stories and photos rings very true for a girl that age. And we absolutely find similarities- in both personality and features- between my sister and the rest of the family. So much of this story rings true.

My sister is adopted. Like Tim and Angela, we have a big age gap (I'm 14 years older.) I could relate to Tim in the last chapter, coming home periodically and always being surprised how much the little sib(s) had grown. My sister's known about the adoption all along, but I do wonder sometimes if she'll have hard questions for us someday- and if I'll be prepared to answer them. You've portrayed that sentiment, for both Shelagh and Timothy, very well I think.

Also, from the adoption memoirs I've read, Shelagh's explanation is spot-on for explaining a domestic adoption to a preteen.

Ohhh, ohhh goodness, Tim and Ange together are just so adorable. I can't even deal with this. It's too cute! I especially love the goofy nicknames and "the 'handsome' boy" being thrown in there, despite the serious conversation.

Nice details on how much the community admires the Turners, with the old man that gives Tim directions, and Angela's classmate's gossipy grandmother.

And that last line has me CACKLING. The Turner family grownups have some more 'splainin to do!

The image of grown Timothy Turner, in a Father Christmas getup, cycling away on a pink bike, is going to stick with me for a long time. Thank you for that. :-D

I love how Shelagh looks back on the coat buttons, and the thing where her accent becomes more pronounced when she's freaking out!

This is amazing

This is absolutely beautiful! While my headcanon hopes they tell her themselves from the start, this is a beautiful outcome of another scenario. I especially love the final chapter! So good!

Oh what I beautiful story. The ending was utterly perfect.

Oh my goodness! There are so many wonderful moments in this chapter, from the family dynamics in the routine fish supper and Tim’s idea to the beautiful ending. I did cry, but I laughed a lot too.

I definitely did not cry reading this. There is definitely just an entire tree in my eye, what are you talking about?

So, so beautiful and heartfelt and well-written. I come from a non-traditional family and this fic was spot on and so incredibly moving.

A really thoughtful look at what Angela will one day have to come to terms with. I am so glad it was Tim who found the words and loved how he used his interpretations of his own story to help his sister.
