crmagic chapter 1 . 7/12/2014 Beautiful moment. |
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 1 . 3/8/2012 A great story. Very well written. |
CC chapter 1 . 2/22/2012 A short story, but an excellent one. I prefer long ones (e.g. Lord of the Rings!), but you touched me with your lovely little story. Very, very well written. |
Agape chapter 1 . 7/20/2008 A lovely little tale. I just drew in my breath though, when you wrote of Boromir. I could actually see him! Wow - very nicely done! |
Soledad chapter 1 . 11/3/2005 Thank you, in the name of all those who love and support that poor, much-abused Denethor. He might not have been the nicest bloke in Middle-earth, but he most certainly wasn't a monster. |
horsiegurl chapter 1 . 12/14/2004 I really like this story. It is very good. It reminds you that Faramir really does love his father and that he misses him. |
darkaura016 chapter 1 . 9/28/2003 this is a really emotinal story and you made it so we could really feel the emtion! that really hard to do! congrats to you! |
Kathy chapter 1 . 9/15/2003 Just lovely. |
Altariel chapter 1 . 8/11/2003 Lovely, bittersweet piece, Shakes. (Hoping for an update on 'Messages' soon...) |
sqky0o7 chapter 1 . 8/10/2003 That made me incredibly sad. *sits in my corner to cry* *sniff* Okay, I'm good. That was really quite good. I think it's sad/sweet/nifty how Boromir's horn and their mother's hankerchief are in the chest. I was expecting a suit of armor or somthing... demon |
Firefall chapter 1 . 8/10/2003 Thanks for a thoughtful insight into Faramir's recollections in Gondor. He had such a depressing time in the books. Nice that he's something to remember which brings warmth and hope to his heart. |
Window Girl chapter 1 . 8/10/2003 This is sweet and wonderful. |
Dragon Confused chapter 1 . 8/10/2003 This was really really good. It was a lovely idea and so nice to see Denethor as a loving father - perhaps a distant one - but a loving father nonetheless. All the details were wonderful - the swan, the chest where Boromir had once sat and the hope that one day he too might have children to sit there and talk to him as he worked, the fact that as a child he had been frightened of the dark and the shadows - but now, as the shadow of Mordor dissapears, he can leave the shadows of his childhood behind. "With the warm sunlight of spring, a first, shy feeling of peace found its way into the room" I loved that line... it was really... I mean it let you picture it and feel it in just a few words! The ending was fantastic too... it just truly was a lovely piece that I know I shall read again! D The only error I spotted, if you are interested, was myself instead of himself in this sentence. "He had to force myself to step into the murky twilight,..." D |
Ushmushmeifa chapter 1 . 8/10/2003 Nice, very beautiful. There is a depth to your description that is fulfilling without being overdone. I like it. |
Freelance Psychopath chapter 1 . 3/26/2003 *sniff* Aw! I love it! |
