Thank you for the tense chapter as the group want the best for Jou, though Yugi and Atem have different definitions of 'best', so to speak. I love how we see the differences, in how Yugi's to wrapped up in the spiritual world while Atem's too focused on the material, and how they're going to balance each other out and find a true middle ground in their developing relationship, and how Atem's reason to stay is helping Jou figure out how to be a connector, and how he and Yugi are going to be spending a lot of time together. I kinda say I like Atem: he tells it like it is and isn’t afraid of if it “insults” the “order” for the sake of tradition.
I totally get Yugi and Seto’s side as well, but it’s clear their both blinded by their love for Jounouchi and you can see that when Yugi tries to talks to Atem on Jounouchi’s behalf and zero who wasn’t just blaming Yugi for everything last chapter is now defending him—it’s an awesome concept cause when the world be is on the line no one is right or wrong but wveryone’s Perspective is different and knowing Joey he’ll take action for his visions and do what he can to help and stop danger whatever Yugi say and or thinks and take the responsibility as it comes.
I also love the twist on Atem being from a family of connectors—makes me wonder if it skipped him because Fate is and has always been an evil genius and if he WAS the connector he and Yugi would never becomes Aloha and Guide...
Already this is showing to Ben so much more mature than its previous incarnations and I’m so proud of you for finishing it! Congrats girl!

that I have my doubts on Jonouchi the fact that he was all to willing ot take such unscrupulus methods to hasten the awakening is cruel enough whats to say he would let his bitterness not sway him and again if he was skipped its clear there is something going on that fate didn't find favorable to carry out the needed tasks so one can't fully be sure all things considered no doubt you hide something Atemu deep inside for fate and Destiny only ever move with love and life never against it keep up the great work gtg now JA NE

Dude I love this story! It’s so different from previous incarnations and so much better! I love that Arem made his appearance and already we get sparks between him and Yugi and also we see the dark side of these abilities and powers—Avatar makes it look easy but your fic shows just how stressful and difficult an intense role in the grand scheme of things is and while I totally understand Seto’s worry he has no right to blame Yuugi—if anything I think he’s more blaming himself because Joey DIDNT tell him about the visions which makes me think he knows Seto well enough to gage his reaction—and knows Seto would indeed burn down the world For him which is wha he doesn’t want.
Each chapter is fired with so much emotion and I love how you convey so much conflict with so little words! I’m excited for next chapter and seeing what Atem says—and of course seeing how he flirts Yugi XD

Anyway this chapter was fantastic! Its so ripe with emotions and grief is strong...its evident in yugi and joey's return and Yugi especially you can tel he feel guilty for wanting grandpa to stay but he also feel guilt for everything that he doesnt nedd to-i totally dont blame Grandpa for wanting to make sure Yugi is happy with someone who loves him.
the different ways in which yugi can pass on his gift was also interesting and yugi is definitely independent enough to want to have his own say in how his child is born and how its raised as opposed to being arranged even if his bloodline gives it a sort of aristocratic you marry who your parents choose kind of thing, but in the case of grandpa, and in defence of arranged marriages, it makes sense: no one knows you better than your parents and how could they not want to impart their wisodm on their children ad help them choose someonw who would love and respect them as much as they do...I also like how grandpa is much more forthcoming in this than in previous versions i also like how Yugi's reaction to bonding is more based on his duty as opposed to some past tragedy, i feel it adds more depth...also why do i think gi's conversation with Kaiba will lea to him meeting Atem?
poor Joey, he really had no idea what he was getting into though to be fair, Kaiba could've just as easily informed Joey of the risks as well as Yugi so Yugi isn't the only one to "blame" speaking of that i've noticed that for all his power as the eyes of the eagle, Yugi gets a lot of shit dumped on him that isnt his fault and he has all this power, but he can'tuse it...it almost makes me wonder what the point it...and makes me even more curious for how Atem intends to help Yugi embrace the world...another wonderful chapter! i'm so excited for this storyto continue!

Poor yugi he got to see his dad a second time and still got no closure—it was cruel if mamoru to do that to appease his own guilt but still the worst part is yugi KNEW as soon as he saw him this would happen. Still it’s gkad he got to apologize at least...
This was definitely a nice rude awakening for Jounouchi seems he learned what yugi already has that there is nothing honorable about their jobs and duties it’s just that pain and tragedy that is only “revered” because no one else wants to do it.
I mean really being a hero sucks—there’s no happy ending. And I honestly can’t wait until Atem shows up because I think he’ll offer an alternate perspective and maybe he’ll arrive because of the negotiations Seto has to deal with?
And I liked how once again we’re shown the limits of yugis power: not only because of hiss as whobhe couldn’t save but also he wants to help Seto but can’t because if favoritism which in itself is stupid (do they really think so little of the eyes of the eagle he wouldn’t offer an unbiased opinion?) lol sorry I can just picture Atem saying that.

huh I'm seriously hating those goddam eagle eyes just watch and not interfere unless the unraveling of the world is at stake even if everyone around him just croaks away into oblivion from illness murder or whatever can't interfere unless it affects the greater all so I hope they appreciate that in the long run when he's not allowed to do anything but watch unless the worlds at stake that does mean for outsiders he will be hated he only comes in when the greater is in danger but will the victims he is unable to be there for see it that way or their loved ones I find that heavily debatable in the heat of such moments seldom few are ever so understanding and I DARE Jounouchi to understand that if it does take that turn if she does leave this world and Yugi has to guide her beyond will you be so logical then or will your emotions get the better of you? again stupid to force ONE person to carry such a useless burden when it should be the whole of the world taking care of it's issues and problems together not just slap it onto his shoulders while he watches on as everyone else lives while he just exists until called on he's not even like a DC superhero where he can do any outgoing or that will interfere as well oh he can interact with you your familial ties but he must let you all live while just watches on gets kind of boring that way not to mention frustrating and painful when everyone around him goes on suffering and enduring and living the wheel of life and he can't have any part of it beyond major issues so yeah like what is going on now sorry Seto but you told him not to interefere unless major issues were at hand this is a major planet wide issue and your husband is the only one with the means to fix it before it grows out of hands deal with it you say you don't wish to add to his already monstrous burdens then shut up and deal with it this is again life playing her fun little game at everyone's expense deal with it keep up the great work gtg now JA NE
