Dresner8337 chapter 38 . 6/20 I really loved this fic. Thank you. |
Sarlisark chapter 38 . 12/18/2019 Hi I absolutely loved the story. The way you used the fact of Katniss being sick and everything else was mostly a consequence of everyone staying in character was wonderful, though the cutting short of the 2nd arena was a bit boring. It made sense, still it was and oh let's skip it. The different quarter quell rule seems logical but also somehow not cruel enough to be chosen. Though honestly it is also the best which I could think of. Prim not dying, Katniss not going crazy, and less importance of TV broadcasts are just some of the things I was really happy about. |
Nessie chapter 38 . 10/21/2019 I cried and loved it at the same time. Great job |
tokkyolove chapter 38 . 9/19/2019 Just binge read this in two days fyi it was super enjoyable |
Mona Ogg chapter 38 . 3/13/2019 I'm not exactly sure what made me wonder "what if Katniss hadn't volunteered in the Hunger Games?", but I'm glad I did. I came here, searched for a 10k story with Prim as the main character, and your story seemed like the most promising option. I wasn't disappointed. I prefer your storyline to the original. Thanks for a great read. This was actually the first Hunger Games fanfic I've read, and it was exactly what I wanted to read. |
Littwink chapter 38 . 1/15/2019 Loved it! Very well planned and excecuted! I couldn’t go to sleep until I finished this; I’ve read the entire thing in one sitting. |
AWiltedRoseSighs chapter 26 . 6/22/2018 I think the chapters got mixed up. Chapter 30 is in place of chapter 26 |

Guest chapter 38 . 5/27/2018 This was a very interesting take on THG. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. |
Guest chapter 37 . 5/27/2018 Given that the rebellion has been raging for so long, and that everyone inside the mountain was a Capitol sympathizer, civilian or not, it was a huge risk to walk unarmed into the mountain. I really enjoyed the touch of Marcus destroying the missiles and playing right into the mockingjays hands. I wish the gadge fans had rebuked you earlier, it seems like we missed out on a really interesting part of the rebellion - namely what happened in 12 after the mockingjays abandoned it, leaving Gale and Madge behind. What happened to Gale that made him so ruthless that he wanted to kill 12 year old children? Book Gale had the whipping and surviving the genocide of his entire district to explain his ruthlessness and even he only wanted to go after adults, not children. He wanted to kill the capitol sympathizers in the Nut because they had killed 9000 people in his district. And how did shy and kind Madge become such a ruthless leader? When and how did Gale go from being in love with Katniss to proposing to Madge? I at least hope he really does love her now, but since there's no allusion to his feelings at all, the reader is left to make the assumption. |
Janeway831 chapter 38 . 5/27/2018 Loved this story! Thank you for sharing it with us! |
SFCBruce chapter 38 . 5/26/2018 I knew Coin was going to try something underhanded! So, Katniss is left-handed - just like a certain actress that portrayed her on the silver screen. And who woulda thunk that LT Jackson would take Coin out? Another reason for not burying Coin in District 13 - that way, no Thirteens could turn her grave into a shrine. I like the way the interim president was selected - by Reaping Bowl. WHOA! What a fitting punishment for Coriolanus Snow! Fitting that he became the Last Tribute. "Doctor" Primrose Everdeen. It has a nice ring to it :-) And Katniss finally becomes a recording star. Nice end to your story! |
Emilee Amethyst chapter 37 . 5/25/2018 Very good chapter. The risk paid off and it paid off well. I am continuing to enjoy this alternate rebellion. |
SFCBruce chapter 37 . 5/25/2018 I like the idea of all food shipments, aside from tesserae grain, being blocked from the Capitol. And having the Capitol sit in the dark 20 out of 24 hours each day - priceless! Gale, in his conversation with Paylor, sounds more than a little...unbalanced. Madge is no longer the pampered daughter of the Mayor of District 12. She is damn tough! Whoa. The Three Mockingjays convinced General Marcus to surrender without further bloodshed on either side. Diplomacy in action! I had to LOL at Marcus's command to destroy the missile's fire control. FUBAR! Uh-oh. What does Coin want with Minerva Snow? |
