Loved the premise of the story, and there were a great many sweet moments in it. Tragic but sweet. I look forward to reading more.

There are a few notes I would make. Occasional errors with comma and dialogue tags - Beta reading might help, but reading up on all the rules is advisable too.

The note that was most important to me is that the chapter felt so rushed. Everything happened so quickly that I didn’t get to enjoy those moments. They came and went by too quickly

I would Have like to see a sequel to this like at least one other of not more. It has been 10 years since this story was finished.

And in that sequel, all the bullshit about our favorite little boy is put down as falsehoods and the truth is given instead. And everyone who teaches and goes to Hogwarts is required to learn How to use sign language. to be able to communicate.

And another thing would be for the school to set the history of Salazar Slytherin straight along with that of Tom Marvolo Riddle as well. And one way would be to write up a series of articles and write up a book for publication for the purpose of setting history right.

But my best guess is that Draco and his parents will work towards learning sign language to be able to communicate with Harry James Potter aka Daylan Alexander Snape.

Plus I wouldn't be surprised if James Potter Made Harry/Daylon his Heir though not actually his son by blood since he helped raise care for that little boy for his first year of life before being killed/murdered.

Plus love the idea of Minerva McGonagall becoming little Daylon's Grandma with Severus marrying her daughter. Plus with this marriage, Draco becomes his cousin. And Lucius and Narcissa become his aunt and uncle.

I know that I am writing this review over a decade late but PLEASE make a sequal to this story. It is one of my favourites and I know I will be rereading it in the future.

I am a bit confused. I might have misunderstood but I think you said Harry was abused?
I have not known of an abuse child acting like Harry is.
This Harry is acting more spoiled then abuse.
Abuse children would never disobey an adult that they just meet much(unless it's to hide out of fear) less disobey when told to go to bed and then laugh and run out of a place wanting to play chase me. I don't mean to be rude or anything. Think about a frighten 5 year old abused child. He doesn't really know this man that says he is his father. His uncle was abusive to him. Why wouldn't a father be abusive too? This would be what an abusive child most likely think. He would need assurance and love to feel comfort with this stranger and in a strange place.
Your story sounds like it might be interesting and good. Don't stop writing!

The only thing I see wrong so far is that you should have used "Mum", not "Mom".
Very interesting about Lily being married to Severus and living with James as a cover. That's one I haven't heard yet!
