You are seriously gifted in the way you write human connections to include sex. I personally find writing good, moving, realistic sex scenes some of the most difficult parts of writing and you excel at it. I came across some free time in the last few months and have thoroughly enjoyed your stories. I also appreciate the realism, education, and authenticity in all of your stories. Amazing work.

Ok, first things first, I read this fic many moons ago when you first published it and I was in deep love with everything you stand for and write. I was way too shy to comment then. This story was so beautiful (still is! I just re-read the whole thing this evening) and it moved me so much and took me on a beautiful fantasy during a way better year in my life. Just had to pop back in and leave my love for you because I was wayyyyyy too shy way back when! xoo

Omg, I adore insecure Mamoru. I have such a fondness for the original anime but I hate that it took that away from him, along with a lot of his everything to be honest. It just makes Usagi seem insane and clingy, being the only one with doubts :(. And here it makes sense that his lack of communication skills are ruining everything and he knows it and it's just making him miserable and awkward. I might enjoy this miserable Mamoru a hair too much XD. He's just so endearing. And love that you threw in the obsessive bowing.

Endings are so hard. So many fall short and don't give a payoff to all the buildup but this one is so perfect! They're such a sweet couple here. Love this fic! Have totally reread it at least twice.

I love, love, love that she sorta tells him that his tears and openness with her only drew her in more. Yes, she thought he was hot, but she's genuinely falling for his personality. I always enjoy when authors explore Mamoru's empathy. It's just such a cool power with so much potential. Thank you for having sex scenes that drive the plot. It's kinda nice when it's not this obligatory thing in fics. Aw, he's so sweet dressing her.

So I totally squealed at Mamoru opening up. I like that you always take Mamoru's past into consideration when writing his character. Background is so important. Especially with him. It informs so much of how he views the world and interacts with people. And what he desires the most in life. And you do such a good job showing why that makes Usagi perfect for him. She's so compassionate here. I like how they truly connect in this sex scene, and in such a healthy way.

Ok, so I'm unfamiliar with the 1997 study, but I've discussed the recent "36 Questions to Fall in Love" one with friends and I wonder if it has worked on people because lot of people just don't get deep, with anyone their life. And that study makes them answer questions and try to connect with a person for possibly the first time. So yes, positive relationships could come out of it, but I feel it's kinda like the suspension bridge effect: people may attribute the effects of the study to their connection with the person. I mean, in general, exposure to people fosters more empathy and connection.

Ok, since I'm review-bombing you I'm really trying to write non-generic reviews outside of "Omg I love it!" but omg I love it! Trapped-in-elevator fics rely so much on building chemistry and theirs is so awesome. And cute! And I totally buy that he's willing to talk about his parents so soon. I've met writers who try too hard to avoid tropes and I'm like, they're only a problem if you're lazy about it. This is a totally skillful exploration of the elevator trope and I'm loving it.

Omg, I love hints of their pasts in their game. Aw, Mamoru's jealous of Motoki. Your Mamoru is such a catch. Totally earnest and sweet but kinda awkward. Hah! She practically offered a one night stand XD. I never bought the "Mamoru as a player" portrayals so I find yours rather loyal to the source. He's so reserved and I don't see him going there that willingly if he's not in love. And I know at least two Japanese guys who would still be virgins if their future wives hadn't like doggedly pursued them (I'm related to one and he's got like negative game -_-).

I love the jobs you give your UMs. They're always so fitting. Of course, someone like Usagi would be drawn to that field. And you can see Mamoru just fall more in love with her in this. I had no idea Japanese orphanages were such a problem. I appreciate that your fics can occasionally be educational. It's so beyond refreshing to read stories from a psychologist. Even outside of fanfics, I kid you not, part of my day job is telling professional writers things like, "hey, so this is rape. Just because the victim's a guy/they're married/etc doesn't make it not RAPE" or "sure it makes him look cool but it's actually controlling/toxic/etc behavior." So your perspective is so valuable, especially in a medium that often focuses a lot on relationships.
