For Spite chapter 12 . 1/17
Rereading this, because it was quite enjoyable and I got to wondering if there was any news on the sequel.

Very good story! It has been a pleasure to read it! I hope you will continue in the future.
Roxas902 chapter 2 . 5/17/2019
I'm enjoying this so far, but I gotta say, it feels a bit ridiculous that literally everybody here so far is bi or gay. Like, I'm not against that at all given I'm bi myself, but while I can understand making all them mahou shoujos fifty shades of gay in order to facilitate madoxhomu and sayakaxkyouko shipping protocol, when even the Kaname parents are both bi and Madoka's aunt is in a lesbian relationship, it just feels a bit heavy-handed here.
scribbleranger93 chapter 12 . 5/3/2019
I have to say, I read this story initially back in December 2018, while at the peak of my interest in PMMM (I had just watched the series the previous month), and it's definitely one of my favorite Post-Rebellion multi-chapter stories.

What I liked the most is how deceptively simple the story starts-Madoka wants to get to know Homura better, and invites her to a week at her aunts' home in order to do that. The ambiguity of the timeline was kept well, even when the cracks started appearing, and I thought the characterization was pretty good (Homura's inner struggle being my favorite). I particularly liked how ambiguous you made whether or not Madoka or Homura was the new transfer student, and I liked the references to other shows, though admittedly, the only ones I really picked up on were The Legend of Korra and Yuki Yuna is a Hero.

I'm curious to see where the next part will go; the ending raises a lot of questions (What will happen on Walpurgis Night? Will Homura realize Madoka's worst fears of rejection, or come clean to her about what she did? What will happen when Sayaka and the others find out what happened? Lots of interesting questions). I know you probably have other projects to work on-and writing a story can be a very time-consuming process-but I'm very much at the edge of my seat.

Looking foward to the sequel, whenever it comes!
hyrushoten chapter 3 . 4/15/2019
Okay, I’m not going to touch on the whole loss of memories and slightly off circumstances of the cast as that is clearly plot related. However I am confused by Homura’s thought this chapter that this would be the last time loop when a chapter or two ago she thought of this loop as a chance to unwind and spend time with Madoka. She even thought something along the lines of if she has unlimited tries to get it right why not take a break instead of trying again.
On a more pedantic note how the heck do two police officers afford a large traditional estate that is presented as larger and potentially more valuable than what a high powered lawyer can afford?
hyrushoten chapter 2 . 4/14/2019
Overall I’m enjoying this story a lot, there’s just one thing that bothers me. Namely why is everybody a lesbian?! The lesbian overload detracts from Homura and Madoka’s relationship.
Acer One Three Four chapter 12 . 3/26/2019
It's been a loooong time since I read something of yours. It's definitely got the spirit, though: dark but not crushing, strongly-written, slow-boiling action and tension, and overdosed with references. I was sitting on the sidelines with a clipboard Googling every name to see what you'd Anno-Dracula'd from every other gay-undertones anime under the sun. Unfortunately, though the last parts were action-packed, it feels like the story ended just as it was getting really interesting. I'd love to see where it's going from here. I mean, the moment when you realize WHEN exactly the story takes place? That alone warrants a reread.
Then I reread it and now I'm anxious and grumpy. When's that sequel, you big jerk?
Whiskered Wolf chapter 12 . 1/14/2019
I... I am so shook...

There are very, very few multichapter Madoka fics with this sort of quality. In fact, the only one that immediately jumps to mind is Persephone’s Waltz. You’ve done a great service to the world by writing this, I officially Admire You.

I LOVE the way you portray Homura. This one’s gone through 14 years of looping, and is very understandably apathetic to everyone except Madoka, though I’d like to believe that Homura, deep in her miserable heart, still feels at least something for the other girls. She’s also just that right mix of stoic and vulnerable (my favorite character archetype!), it’s very obvious that she’s near breaking. I look forward to the day where she confesses everything and completely breaks down :)

I like this portrayal of her Devil-ness so much! For some reason, I really want to see Madoka playing with Homura’s wings. And Kyuubey! Am I reading this wrong, or has the combined suffering of the universe given him something resembling emotion? And what did he feel at the end—hate, despair, or, dare I say it, hope? What’s going to happen on Walpurgis Night? God, I’m so freaking excited!

Also, have you ever considered posting this on Archive of Our Own too? It’s just way easier to leave and respond to comments there, and to organize stories and stuff. And they have a superb tagging system! I love Post-Rebellion stories, but I have a really hard time finding them here. I almost completely passed this masterpiece over. I want to leave you ALL the Kudos. And I would comment on every single chapter!
Carp chapter 12 . 12/31/2018
Hmm i've been wondering this, if the witches are humans again does that mean walpurgisnacht is the army sasa is talking about? Or is it something else...? Cant wait till next chapter.
Oh and happy new year and a year for this fic
Ghost-03 chapter 12 . 12/28/2018
My theory was that Homura had divided herself, as she did with Madoka, separating her more human side from her "Akuma" side. Letting Akuma take over the supervision of the world in general (with the law of cycles, if she has a place in this story), while she lives as normal as she can with Madoka. I did not give much credit to this idea, because it did not explain Mitakihara's total lack of vigilance. However, I think I liked that idea better than what it turned out to be, I bought the idea that Homura restrains herself to hold on to her humanity as much as possible, it goes very well with her characterization until now, but, when Madoka and her happy world are at risk...

On the other hand, great chapter! Madoka is so adorable, she finally took courage! if only Homura could forgive herself and take the opportunity to be happy, she has made many mistakes, but is far from being the monster she thinks she is, (nor she will notice, but she was very pious in this episode) well, only with Kyubey, but he deserves it and is also necessary to control the curse of the world. I keep wondering, what's wrong with the new world? Why reject it?

There remained many unknowns, like: what role do the mysterious Utena characters have? Is there even Kazumi in this world? Why is Homura running out of time? and what does Walpurgis mean in this timeline? I look forward to the sequel that responds to all that and more.

Great
tacostahern chapter 12 . 12/27/2018
Holy shit, it's already been over a year since this story was published? It doesn't even feel like it's been that long. Great story, and I'm looking forward to the sequel!
Spooths chapter 12 . 12/27/2018
Oof. Poor... well I was going to say Homura, but really poor everybody. They're all super super fucked. Even the "bad" ones. And it feels off calling them bad, because they really aren't any worse than Homura. Only the core four (Madoka, sayaka, Mami, Kyoko) could be considered good. Everyone else is fucking nuts. Goddamn incubators. Fucking walpurgisnacht. I'm sure that'll turn out well.

I really like how you've depicted Homura's powers. They're ridiculously overpowered, but there are also limits on them. Granted I think a lot of them are self imposed, but I imagine one of the incubators goals is to make her use more and more until they understand what she's capable of and then they can figure out how to defeat her. She probably could've just fucked up everyone in that room with Madoka really easily and brutally, but she didn't. But as shes pressured she'll have to do more and more. Probably some of her cool time stopping magic and shit. I wonder if that's what the incubators want. Her to reveal everything to Madoka. And they hope that'll cause her to self destruct or something.

Speaking of Madoka, holy shit she actually went and did it. The absolute madman. I love this story.

I Remain,
Spooths
