yet another zutara shipper that doesn't know what a breakup is, katara just f-ck-ing leaves aang for no reason and doesn't even break up with him before kissing zuko, if you want to write zutara without the breakup part then just make it an alternate universe story. instead of doing aang dirty like this...

Wow! Just wow! I have to say, that this one shot is a very plausible way to end AtLA, in my opinion. I love how Katara renounced her "guilded cage" in favor of a noble purpose, which in turn gave her a purpose. And who else but Zuko could understand that wearing a mask, so to speak, could help her do what she has to. A nice touch, with saying that Zuko was wearing her colors in his mask (blue), which highlighted that Katara was wearing his (red paint). Very lovely. And that last sentence was just amazing! A perfect ending. Thanks for writing! I really loved it! :)

I'm am so in love with this. it is pure perfection. Katara playing the perfect little wife has always rubbed me the wrong way. she left her village because she was restless. she had an insatiable need to help, to work. she wouldn't just settle down and raise kids. if anything she would be the mom that straps her kid to her back and continues her travels as if nothing has changed. I'm so into the zutara ship and while I don't like shorting Aang like they do in so many stories I like how you put it here. he wasn't being a bad boyfriend. he wasn't controlling or neglectful. she simply wasn't done with chaos yet. it's hard to settle into peace when you've never known it. she had to find her place in the world through struggle on her own journey, just like he did. over all this was beautiful.

This felt so natural and it was satisfying to see Katara live for herself, and in doing so, her helping other people rather than just be a girlfriend to the avatar. Good stuff.
