(Also I secretly want a version of this fic where neither boy ends up at the airport and Derek sends Meredith instead and Meredith seduces Addison. Well that sort of happened in a fic of mine one time, actually now that I think of it... already.)
Anyways good job I love love love how mark always makes everything sound kinda dirty and Addison is wearing less clothes.
Lol Addison is like I really wanna have an affair what the hell is wrong with me.
And I do like how Addison is described as the better spouse and affectionate; he is and idk I think she’s better than both mark and Derek and Alex and all those boys out there.
But again I am gay so can you blame me.

I really like the tone here - it's tongue in cheek but also really sad, which is of course part of that great Maddek dynamic.

And Mark taking Addison's bags was perfect - of course he gets stuck with the baggage, and Derek still gets to ride in the car with her.

I think when their marriage was good, yes and then later, no, I enjoyed reading this.

This was a great chapter and a very welcome study break. And then you asked us to analyse, which I think you're gonna regret, because here I go.

I think Derek was a very different person in both his marriages. The first time around, with Addison, he was younger but also they were both residents working crazy ass hours on punishing schedules, and that can wreak havoc on the most stable of relationships. He was also working to build a reputation, and that may sometimes have eaten into time he should have dedicated to his wife.

But later with Meredith, he was more settled, he was an established surgeon who could take the luxury of dictating his own hours, and he didn't have the burden of proving himself anymore. So he could probably give her more time, and the fact that he may or may not have been there for Addison is in my opinion not a reflection of their marriage, but of the fact that he trusted her to manage by herself.

With Meredith we sometimes see that he's kind of in charge of the grown up stuff, be it handling the construction of their house, their finances and affairs, even taking the lead when they bought the hospital. Maybe it's because he's so much olderat least ten or twelve years, ewor maybe it's his nature.

Great chapter. I think Derek is the kind of guy who works very hard and would pick his wife up or drop her off if he was available but maybe might not have gone out of his way for Addison as he expected her to take cabs. I think he did differently for Meredith. There's at least one scene in the show when he and Zola meet Christine and Meredith at the airport.

That was silly. It was also cute and funny. So, yeah, I enjoyed reading that very much.

I loved this, the whole code between Maddison that Derek doesn't even know is so innovative and cute.

DUDE. Somehow my computer never sent this review, and when I was opening the fic on the new chapter to read it, and thinking I'll have a recap of ch2, I finish the chap, and my review is still sat there, waiting to send! :O :O :O This is a new one, even for this site and my temperamental old laptop (which together are dangerous!) Anyway, here's what I was going to say:

I loved this chapter! Maddek/Maddison are my favourite thing! Poor Mark, having to be responsible, get drunk Addison back into all her clothes and take her home to Derek! I love this piece, keep 'em coming!

This is so cute, with an undercurrent of sneaky darkness (aka: Maddek). It's a really different idea - I remember enjoying the first chapter, and it's interesting to see where you're taking this. Also, the "unlike you" "unlike YOU" back and forth was very Maddison. Looking forward to more!
