ivanacco1 chapter 3 . 6/5 The citadel point of view is perfect , the amount of madness that an unified humanity working towards a single goal could do is mindblowing |
Guest chapter 12 . 6/2 wow |
oxyd2013 chapter 11 . 5/2 I honestly did not understand what that last chapter was about (11). The descriptions are confusing and the language hyperbolic: too much mystery for the sake of mystery itself is detrimental to the story. |
chips the mouth chapter 4 . 12/29/2019 well, it's getting sorta boring. first you had humanity all be moral paragons, which is a nice thought but not even close to believable. then for some reason that brethren moons suddenly agree to fight. now the council throws away hundreds of years of thinking a certain way on the say so of a new species. just like that...poof. it's not even that which makes it boring, but the fast and banal way you had it happen that does. i do applaud you on an interesting story idea. |
Guyjinn chapter 10 . 6/13/2019 You have an incredible flair for the dramatic, and this story is absolutely excellent so far in form and execution. I look forward to the next installment! Keep up the good work, and know your readers really appreciate your effort. |
thermalsnipern7 chapter 7 . 6/12/2019 One-sided slaughter of slavers? Of all the times to be without popcorn... |
thermalsnipern7 chapter 1 . 6/12/2019 Now THIS is what I like in a story: Motivational moments that actually make one feel immersed! |
Notsae chapter 10 . 5/28/2019 Time to genocide the citadel! |
Cheorkee rememberer gamer98 chapter 2 . 4/2/2019 Salutations Omega! Sorry it has been about two years since I said I would read and review your story. Better late than never that I got around to this now. Anyways I've been absent from Discord mainly due to depression and IRL issues. I'm on antidepressants now and my deadbeat of a father was removed from the house finally yesterday. That is enough about me making excuses onto the story itself! You have the marine speak down because honestly it is not a military force without some banter and smack talk throw around a bit. I am a little surprised as to how every single human being on the planet Earth could possibly withstand a sensory bombardment from the Moons themselves. Given the sentience and omnipresence of the Moons wouldn't that mean the entirety of Humanity would run the risk of being reduced to vegetables, if they really absorbed the collective intelligence of all these species in the span of a few seconds? What of those with mental issues or even the ones yet unborn would that not cause complications on some level? Also I've grown a lot reading on this site as well as a person in real life so don't expect me to make half-assed reviews like I did when I complained you "glorified combat" in a Halo fic. I am still embarrassed that I did that not to mention I just stole that quote from a friend of mine and he was talking about his Madness Combat story. Another question I would ask about this story given my lack of knowledge of Mass Effect. What are the Reapers exactly are they sentient machines or are they organic death monsters that use machines to carry out their genocides? And how exactly are they like cuttlefish? I also notice the words "Tau Volanti Frigates". Are the Tau from W40K going to be one of the species fighting against the Reapers? Not to mention why just Humanity? Surely while one of the moons was convincing the human race to fight against unstoppable odds the other moons could have simply been recruiting elsewhere in the galaxy. Rather than come all at once and sensory bombard an entire species with memories and knowledge they otherwise would not have access to. Edit this was meant to be on chapter one but it turns out I had already reviewed it years prior. So this will be a part of the second chapter review. I am unsure of this are the Turians not yet allies of Humanity and the Moons at this moment? Not to mention I have to say that I find it unrealistic that all crime would cease because Humanity briefly happened to secure a connection to each other mentally. Rather it would probably increase or still be around with criminals attempting all they could to regain that same connection to find suitable targets. Believe it or not a vast majority of crimes are ones of opportunity and emotion rather than pre-planned and meditated. On that note it also removes the factor of tension within the human race as there are no groups fighting each other for their own interests or worse yet even going so far as to work with the Reapers. I am also confused why would each human inhabited system need a minimum of six moons or less to guard them? They could likely cut the number down to two or three and reserve the moons' numbers and intelligence for more pressing matters. |
sonic chapter 9 . 3/22/2019 I liked the chapter! |
VGBlackwing chapter 9 . 2/21/2019 my opinion THE GREATEST WAR FANFIC I HAVE EVER READ |
TigerJacob chapter 6 . 2/2/2019 It's been a month, but I'm I'm finnaly giving this a shot. I'm gonna review now, because I don't want to forget what I was gonna put. To start off with, interesting premise. Cant really say that the brethren would ever accept compromise on assimilation and then the matter of humanity having the mental agreement to fight (especially in the era we live in (and it's only getting worse)) and pleading alliance and help makes me wonder what the end goal for the moons is. If this a horror fic as you say I'd expect mass betrayal or infection already occurring, but unknowingly. Deals with the devil and all that. But you have a problem. A lot of things you just throw in, you gave us a classification of ships and then bang you throw another in randomly, you also seem to be making up species instead of just drawing on canon from both. Theres a fanfiction saying. "You cant make frodo a jedi, without giving sauron the death star" in this case I disagree. The me series never really gave us a definite number on how many reapers there are, but multiple galaxies and billions of years apparently to rack up a fleet. I still dont think humanity's instant super fleet will be enough. Another thing is, it's kinda boring, idk why (probably main reason is I'm not focused on it, but someone craving a me/dead space or even just one or the other would probably be happy with what you've written). I do reccomend you read a fic by vimenthusiast "the effect of a horse and dragon", when you start writing first person character this fic might give you inspiration for bringing individuality and liveliness, it also doesn't hurt that it's a me fic and he was dealing with the barbarians before he stopped writing for it. I also really reccomend you read the enders game series, one of the final books children of the mind has alot of interspecies contact and the main "enemy" of book one was a hive mind. Only personal wish for this fic is you exterminate or enslave the batarians. They're a bunch of barbaric slavers and literally I wanted to kill any I saw slumming away on the citadel. So while not for me, I can see alot of potential. Thanks for the read. |
Kilare T'suna chapter 9 . 1/23/2019 This is a gem you got here. |
Vahn chapter 9 . 1/22/2019 I can imagine the twisted ending. After the races won. All ships and tech the brethen moons gave is disable and the great feast begin tuning things into Dead Space. |
coduss chapter 9 . 1/22/2019 hah, nazara just bitched out. |
