I wish there were more stories like this I love them they could jack into the family.

Oh, I like the direction you went with this one shot. Poor Jack, that had to be the last thing he needed when he was just trying to save Cas. But I like that you explored his feelings of guilt and doubt when things went wrong. I'm always a sucker for people pulling each other through hard times when things don't go as planned.

But they got Cas back :D Haha, Cas's line about being in a cell next to Lucifer made me laugh out loud. I loved the heart-to-heart with Jack, and Dean's honesty, haha. Poor kid, he really does fit in probably a little too well :)

Jack does things to save those he cares about, but ends up hurting them at the same time. Now why does that sound familiar? Oh yeah, just like Dean said, that's what they do. lol Jack fits in with Team Free Will 2.0 perfectly. It's good to see Dean finally seeing the good jack is capable of, and realizing that Jack has the same tendencies as he, Sam, and Cas do. I look forward to reading more.

Frigging awesome!

The *feels* ... omg; just *everything.* This is near perfection ... though I don't know if I can pick a favorite between this one and "Operation Rescue the Winchester Angel." And I'll tell you right now: even if you can somehow write a new rescue Cas fic every week from now until February, I will read every single one and gush at your creativity and imagination every single time. Like I told you before, I will *always* read rescue Cas fics.

I loved that this was told entirely in Dean's POV, he's always been my favorite character (well, behind Castiel, obviously!). You've captured his character so well, evidenced in his thoughts and dialogue; some of my favorite lines: "They'd just gotten Cas back; they couldn't lose him again" and "This was Cas, and they couldn't just leave him there" and "Crap, this *was* going to blow up in their faces..." and "'Yeah, and you swore to protect him. Well, guess what, in order to do that, you kinda have to be here. With him,' Dean said pointedly" and my favorite "'Yeah,' Dean interrupted somewhat snippily. 'But since you've already done that - a few times - let's take that play off the table for awhile, okay?'" I loved Dean assuring Cas that he was just as important as Jack was. And how he gave Jack directives to focus on *something* after "Jack tried to nuke Asmodeus and you got caught in the crossfire." And just wanting to get *all* of them safely back to the bunker. "That's how they'd be strong enough to face whatever came next. Team Free Will 2.0. Family."

It's easy to see why Dean did a complete 180 turnaround regarding Jack; the kid's so much like Cas, and he's really trying to be good like his mom, like Cas, like the Winchesters want him to be.

And my sweet, self-sacrificing angel, still doubting. When the trade stalled, naturally Castiel intervened - trying to protect Jack from Asmodeus. I absolutely loved "He hunched his shoulders forward, expression turning murderous. 'You're hurting my father'" and the interactions between Jack and his surrogate father and the Winchesters. And of course, Castiel putting Jack and the Winchesters above himself, willing to die for any of them; part of it is his self-sacrificing nature, I'm sure, but I can't help but think that part of it is that he really sees himself as lesser than the others, that he's somehow not as important as *anyone* else - something the Winchesters really need to address.

I would've loved it if Asmodeus would've called Dean that night (before the trade) and followed through on his threat, pointedly giving the Winchesters incentive to turn Jack over. Maybe it's just me, but I'd love it if a freaking "Supernatural" demon could act like a demon for once and torture the angel in their possession. (Yes, I know Crowley did that to poor Samandriel but it sure doesn't seem as if the show will have Evil Colonel Sanders hurt my sweet Castiel.)

All in all this was an awesome read and I'm so glad you shared it for all of us to enjoy!

FYI: I see you finished "Unholy Terror" at 7 chapters - hooray! Between that and "Keep Calm," I'll have some longer fics of yours to enjoy in the new year - again, hooray!

Another awesome 13x7 tag! Gosh, poor Jack, I feel so bad for him and his inner struggles, but he will be able to control his powers better eventually, I believe in him! Even though this rescue didn't go so great, It was still nice to see. Jack needs all the hugs, and Cas could probably do with one too. And by all means, keep writing these fics if you have ideas for them lol ;) Thanks for sharing this one!

Awhhhh, so many good elements rolled into one little thing :) I liked Dean's acceptance and reassurance most of all, it goes to show how far he's come since the start of all of this. And Jack was great too ;)

I love and hate these stories of yours, cuz they are exactly what *I* want, but exactly what the show will totally fail to deliver, yet they make me want it from the show writers soooooo badly.
