I just wonder, if any of those bowtruckles try unlockinv the case, what happens to them? don't harm them, ya know ... or you'll have Newt and myself to deal with. Odf course, this is for Graves, not you dear writer.

Newt's characterization was perfect - he was stubborn in his pursuit of his creature and sort of oblivious to his own safety for the sake of his research, which is definitely just like him. There could have been more physical descriptions - especially of the Migrall (even if you did mention every account gave a different description, giving a few words from those descriptions would have helped visualize the creature).

I found this very original - both because of the FB thing, but also because it's pretty rare to get a fic about Newt's quests that end badly or semi-badly. I really enjoyed the way Graves and Newt interacted in this. I think you characterized them both well and you did a good job on their dialogue.

The dialogues and prose flowed well, but I found the scene skip a bit abrupt - though I'll grant that might be because Newt fainted. However, during the first scene with the Migrall the timeline of the events was a bit confusing to follow. I had to read this maybe four times to get where the prompt was, but I did see it.

I found it original to use a creature instead of a human, and the Migrall sounds like an interesting creature. I would have loved to see it a bit more developed.

The plot was good. It could have been a bit more original - Newt looking for a new creature isn't very new anymore - but it was well-written nonetheless.

This was lovely to read. Newt's thoughts on the Migrall really had me sympathise with it, and I loved the Newt/Grave interactions. Nothing to say on SPaG. Prompt was in the AN and word count was okay.
