This is cute. I've been looking for fanfics of Dawn Bellwether either while she is in prison, or after she leaves prison. I only want to read fics of her reforming after prison instead of becoming a villain again.

And I thought there was something wrong with me when I felt like I was the only one bothered by the fact that Dawn Bellwether was chosen as the twist villain, when they barely gave her enough development, screen time, and a bigger reasoning when labeling her as someone who is just out for "money and power" without a real answer why she did what she did. But from the little clues gathered, I had a feeling Bellwether was once a victim of prejudice, bullying, and abuse that would later drive her off the deep end when she felt lost, scared, alone, and unloved because of her species alone that predators would attack her for, blinding her vision that all were her enemies that needed to be stopped and exposed for what she believed they really were. Even prison was not kind to Bellwether here, ridiculed and bullied by other inmates who MIGHT have done worse to her if they resorted to assaulting or forcing her into slave labor when it came to prison chores and it's almost sad that Dawn would feel no comfort or love, other than from her own family that still believed she can change once her sentence is over, but thought Nick and Judy could NEVER understand her position and how it feels to suffer from prejudice as a sheep, imagining that they are mocking at her pain and suffering at the hands of other inmates.

But it's a relief that she feels no desire for revenge or anything else upon seeing them again, possibly having more than one reason not to see her in the visiting room due to their duty as police officers preventing visitations unless it was for police work. I believe that Dawn can change and will, if people would stop seeing her as someone who deserves every ounce of hate she gets just for being the twist villain, which is unfair for her.

That was such a charming take on Dawn and Leo. Also, it's amusing that Dawn's sister is named Eve. I love how this adds to your beautiful take on Zootopia after the movie. _

can't say that wasn't different! Wasn't quite sure what you had in mind there, but a very interesting and reasonable close. Many folk have mentioned /Nick or Judy have said/ that if it wasn't for the whole missing mammal case, they'd. likely never met/hit it off. this is the logical extension of that.
