i truly dont understand a lot of your stort. you claim to have made the reapers more scary but the way you did this was give them numbers more advanced tech and being more tenacious. i really only agree wih the numbers as in canon they grew ships from harvested spieces not shipyards
reapers are an AI following a command this is not to explore better tech, as such no matter how long they live the will only advance by what they find.
their tenacity was never questioned in the me games cause they were never challenged. i do agree they are likely quick to counter teleporting tech but here comes my biggest issue with the story: humans react instead of being proactive. the reapers were in dark space they could have been dropping mass relays on their heads without destroying he galaxy for a long time now. or simply teleport all reapers into the black hole at the center of milkyway. or create their own black hole if they can controll it. maybe make a mass effect jammer and place it allong their route which interupts their ftl tearing ships appart the moment they pass through. they couldve taken the new species before their space flight and relocated them off the relay grid giving themselfs another 50k years or the chance to ambush the reapers while they are in system

as you can see they couldve done a lot of shit but simply didnt thus giving the reapers a chance to adept, and if an AI is good at one thing its solving a probem and adepting.
as you can see most or my points would invalidate your story and as much as i like it you really dropped the ball there
