Reviews for CardDimension Neptunia! Let's Duel!
Guest Quest chapter 30 . 8/5
Glad to see you're still doing okay, and that you're not burned out on writing in general. I was worried that the situation with your family might have gotten worse, or that some other emergency situation had happened with you.
Panther J chapter 30 . 8/5
Nice to know that you’re busy with another story, I was worried that something happened to you. Still, glad to know that you’re alright and hoping to see more of this story soon and some of your other stories.
Guest Quest chapter 29 . 7/7
Saw that you changed "Lance" to "Oliver" in this chapter, though Oliver is also a name that you've used before, two chapters before this. Are you meaning to use a name that is shared by another character?
ultrawing chapter 29 . 6/27
Ok. So. Making a review for this chapter for 2 reasons.

Reason 1. I cannot find your Twitter. When I search the name given it gives me an account with no profile icon, no followers, and only 1 tweet dating to 2018 and mentioning nothing about your Fics.

1 "Genex" Tuner 1 or more Non-Tuner Synchro monsters.
If this card is Synchro summoned with "Genex Controller", You can Banish 1 Machine Synchro monster in your GY. And if you do this card gains one of the following effects based on it's Attribute.
* FIRE: This card gains 500 Attack equal to the number of monsters your Opponent Controls.
*WATER: you can target. 1 "Genex" monster you control. And if you do you gain LPs equal to that card's Attack points.

I hope you enjoy the Customs and Updates to my Character
Fireking492 chapter 29 . 6/18
I loved seeing Julio and IF just hanging out together! The duel was good stuff btw! I'm glad to see Adam, the guy who happens to have the same first name as me be owned and taught a lesson even if it ends up in him getting offered to join the bad guys by Doku
Kamencolin chapter 29 . 6/6
Do any of the 5ds gang have descended in this world
Guest Quest chapter 29 . 6/6
Insomnia would not be able to use her effect with Defense Draw without an errata. Her effect is identical to Junk Collector's effect, which cannot be used during the Damage Step. Even if Defense Draw is a Normal Trap used during the Damage Step, Junk Collector's own effect does not satisfy any of the conditions that would allow it to be activated during the Damage Step.
DanielJensen chapter 29 . 6/5
I mean I did pm you my oc so I guess he wasn't interesting enough so shrug.
Guest Quest chapter 29 . 6/5
1. I see you showed a character named Lance in this chapter, though he doesn't exactly seem like how I described him in my original submission, so is he someone else? If not, if he's the leader of his own gang, I would have thought the name of his gang would reference dragons or pole weapons, instead of birds.

2. Remind me if I forgot, but why doesn't Julio have a qualification duel coming up?

3. Is Dan going to learn Double Tuning as well?

4. Custom cards

i. Chaos Charge
[Spell/Normal]

If you control a "Number C" or "CXyz" Xyz Monster: Banish all non-Xyz monsters you control (if any), also banish 2 cards from your opponent's field and/or GY. You can only activate 1 "Chaos Charge" per turn.

Artwork: Number C39: Utopia Ray Victory, CXyz Barian Hope, and Grim Requiem CXyz Dragon flying off to battle with a black background, the monsters moving to the left in the image.

For Julio.

ii. Accel Strike
[Spell/Normal]

If you control a Synchro Monster that lists Synchro Monsters for all of its materials: Banish all non-Synchro monsters you control (if any), also draw 3 cards, then discard 1 card. You can only activate 1 "Accel Strike" per turn.

Artwork: Shooting Star Dragon, T.G. Blade Blaster, and Crystal Storm Accel Synchro Dragon flying off to battle with a white background, the monsters moving to the right in the image.

For Dan once he unlocks the Accel Synchro form of his dragon.

iii. Contact Fury
[Spell/Normal]

If you control a Fusion Monster that cannot be Fusion Summoned, and has its own Summoning procedure that states "you do not use "Polymerization"": Banish all non-Fusion monsters you control (if any), also look at your opponent's hand and Extra Deck, and send 1 card from each of those locations to the GY. You can only activate 1 "Contact Fury" per turn.

Artwork: Elemental HERO Magma Neos, VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon, and Greedy Virus Contact Fusion Dragon flying off to battle with a purple background, the monsters directly facing the camera in the image.

For Doku once he unlocks the Contact Fusion form of his dragon.

Note: Monsters that can be Summoned by both regular Fusion and Contact Fusion, like Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon, do not satisfy the activation requirement of this card.

5. Erratas

i. Dragunity Pontifex

If your opponent controls more monsters than you do: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, you can reveal 3 "Dragunity" cards with different names from your Deck, except "Dragunity Pontifex", then your opponent randomly adds 1 of them to your hand, and you shuffle the rest back into your Deck. You can only use this effect of "Dragunity Pontifex" once per turn.

I noticed that the second part of its effect was pretty much identical to Dragunity Knight - Romulus's first effect (even though it won't be seeing use in your story), so I changed it. Now it works more like Power Tool Dragon's effect.

ii. Crystron Vermarion

If this card is used as a Synchro Material, all other Synchro Materials must be Synchro Monsters. Once per turn: You can banish 1 "Crystron" monster from your Deck; increase or decrease this card's Level by 1. Once per Chain, during your opponent's Main Phase or Battle Phase, you can (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 "Crystron" Synchro Monster using this card you control. If this Synchro Summoned card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Crystron" monster from your Deck during the End Phase of this turn.

Added a condition at the start. Since this card has one more effect than Quandax, I thought it should have a restriction to balance it out. It already had a restriction where you can only summon a Crystron monster if you tune during your opponent's turn with it, whereas Quandax doesn't have that restriction, but I thought it should have a more noticeable one.

*Custom card

- - -

Custom cards used (including ones established earlier, so you can see them all in one place):

i. Dragunity Pontifex
ATK/600 DEF/500
Level 2 WIND
[Winged Beast/Effect]

If your opponent controls more monsters than you do: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, you can add 1 "Dragunity" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Dragunity Pontifex" once per turn.

Appearance notes: This monster should resemble a priest, not a warrior.

ii. Dragunity Dory
ATK/800 DEF/1000
Level 3 WIND
[Dragon/Tuner/Effect]

You can pay 500 LP, then target 1 "Dragunity" monster you control; equip this card from your GY to that target. If this card is sent to the GY while equipped to a monster: Draw 1 card. You can only use each effect of "Dragunity Dory" once per turn.

iii. Ancient Fairy Dragon/Assault Mode
ATK/2600 DEF/3500
Level 9 LIGHT
[Dragon/Effect]

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned with "Assault Mode Activate", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Face-up Field Spells you control cannot be destroyed by card effects. Once per turn, if there is a face-up Field Spell on the field: You can draw 1 card, then gain 1000 LP. During your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) When this card on the field is destroyed: You can target 1 "Ancient Fairy Dragon" in your GY; Special Summon it.

Appearence notes: Ancient Fairy Dragon wearing a flowing dress, one that fits a serpentine body instead of a humanoid one.

iv. Dragunity Archknight - Excalonginus
ATK/4000 DEF/3000
Level 12 WIND
[Dragon/Synchro/Effect]

1 "Dragunity" Tuner PLUS 2 or more non-Tuner Dragon and/or Winged Beast monsters
Must be Synchro Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Unaffected by your opponent's monster effects. You can only use each of the following effects of "Dragunity Archknight - Excalonginus" once per turn.
- (Quick Effect): You can target 1 other Dragon monster on the field or in either GY; equip that target to this card.
- You can send all Equip Cards equipped to this card to the GY; shuffle cards your opponent controls into the Deck, up to the number of cards sent to the GY to activate this effect.

v. Crystron Vermarion
ATK/1000 DEF/2400
Level 3 WATER
[Machine/Synchro/Tuner/Effect]

1 Tuner PLUS 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
Once per turn: You can banish 1 "Crystron" monster from your Deck; increase or decrease this card's Level by 1. Once per Chain, during your opponent's Main Phase or Battle Phase, you can (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 "Crystron" Synchro Monster using this card you control. If this Synchro Summoned card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Crystron" monster from your Deck during the End Phase of this turn.

Appearance notes: Resembles Crystron Prasiortle, transformed into a humanoid shape.

vi. Divine Crystron Clear Quilin
ATK/4000 DEF/4000
Level 12 WATER
[Machine/Synchro/Effect]

2 Tuner Synchro Monsters PLUS 1 or more non-Tuner Synchro Monsters
Must be Synchro Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Cannot leave the field by card effects, except by being destroyed. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage. Once per turn, when your opponent would Summon a monster(s), OR activate a card or effect (Quick Effect): You can negate the Summon or activation, and if you do, destroy that card(s). If this card on the field is destroyed by battle or card effect: Banish all cards your opponent controls, also you can Special Summon 1 "Crystron" Synchro Monster from your GY.

Appearance notes: Has a humanoid shape, but does not resemble any of the other Crystron monsters.

Slightly errata'd the last effect. Now you can summon a monster even if you don't banish any cards.

vii. Dragunity Tower of Lances
[Spell/Continuous]

Monsters you control that are equipped with a "Dragunity" monster(s) cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. You can only use each of the following effects of "Dragunity Tower of Lances" once per turn.
- When a "Dragunity" monster is Synchro Summoned: You can target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; it has its effects negated until the end of this turn.
- You can banish 2 Dragon and/or Winged Beast monsters from your GY, then target 1 Level 8 or lower "Dragunity" monster in your GY; Special Summon it.
- If this card was not activated this turn: You can send this card to the GY; draw cards equal to the number of "Dragunity" Monster Cards in your Spell & Trap Zone.

Something I forgot to mention, Spell/Trap Cards can get away with somewhat longer texts than monsters, because they don't have to make room in their text boxes to list monster card types.

viii. Crystron Force
[Spell/Quick-Play]

When an attack is declared involving a "Crystron" Synchro Monster you control and an opponent's monster: That monster you control gains ATK equal to its Level x 200, and if it does, apply the appropriate effects, if its material requirements contain any of the following.
- All Synchro Monsters: Your opponent's battling monster has its effects negated.
- 2 or more Tuners: Your opponent's battling monster loses ATK equal to the ATK your battling monster gained.
These changes last until the end of this turn. If a "Crystron" Synchro Monster you control is destroyed while this card is in your GY: You can Set this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. It can be activated this turn. You can only use this effect of "Crystron Force" once per turn.

I noticed that there isn't a "Crystron" Spell Card (Crystolic Potential doesn't have "Crystron" in its name), so I made this. It's pretty much a battle trap, and gets stronger if you use it with an Accel Synchro Monster or a Double Tuning Synchro Monster (the custom Crystron boss monster I made would get both of the bonus effects).

ix. Dragunity Chivalry
[Trap/Counter]

When a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, is activated: Send 1 "Dragunity" Monster Card in your Spell & Trap Zone to the GY; negate the activation, and if you do, banish that card, then if you control a "Dragunity" Synchro Monster, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Dragunity" monster from your GY. You can only activate 1 "Dragunity Chivalry" per turn.

Summon chants next.
Guest Quest chapter 28 . 4/14
1. I'm guessing that Julio (and maybe Kila too) will be able to gather Share Energy by achieving popularity in dueling. Will this result in Julio eventually creating a brand new CPU to help him protect his own world?

2. Do you think Accel Synchro should just be when you're using Synchro Monsters for all the materials (to summon any Synchro Monster), or when you're Synchro Summoning a monster that strictly requires Synchro Monsters for all the materials? I personally think it should be the latter.

3. Possible Chekhov's Gun: Since Neptune has played against Lance herself, she may have gained some knowledge on how his deck works, so this might lead to her advising Julio when he duels Lance in the tournament, if that isn't cheating. It would be a reminder that Neptune can be competent when she wants to be, and that she's really learning about what it's like to be a duelist.

4. I'd like to see Iris Heart develop a rivalry with Starving Venom, because they seem like they'd be opposing sadists who would compete with each other on their abilities to inflict and relish in agony.

5. If you're feeling daring, one idea for an opponent Julio or his friends will go up against in the tournament is a rules lawyer, who uses advanced knowledge of the nuances of card interaction to get ahead in duels, with their "lawyering" being a constant source of annoyance for their opponent. You'd have to know the rules for certain yourself to do such a character, however, so it's up to you.

6. Custom cards

i. Dark Magician Girl the Goddess of Black Magic
ATK/2500 DEF/2100
Level 9 DARK
[Spellcaster/Synchro/Effect]

1 Tuner PLUS 1 or more non-Tuner DARK Spellcaster monsters
For this card's Synchro Summon, you can treat 1 "CPU" monster you control as a Tuner. Gains 300 ATK for each Spellcaster monster in the GYs. If this card is Synchro Summoned using any of the following monsters, it gains the appropriate effects.
- "CPU" Tuner: Your opponent cannot activate Spell/Trap Cards or effects during the Battle Phase.
- "Share Crystal" Tuner: Monsters you control cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's card effects.
- "Dark Magician Girl": Once per turn: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; banish it.

Summon chant: "Mistress of the dark magical arts. Touch the light of divinity, and become the new guardian of happiness and hope! Synchro Summon! Appear now, Level 9, Dark Magician Girl the Goddess of Black Magic!"

I'll have further custom cards, deck revisions, and summon chants later.
