O.O Wuh-ohhhh. I should've KNOWN this would happen! Noise, you might've messed up a bit. I'd be like Sonic too at this point; I hate it when my friends are held captive in possible danger and I have no idea where they are (I'm speaking from roleplay experience). If Noise's powers are connected to Infinite somehow, I'm worried about how he's holding up right now :( It's nice of Flint to go looking for Infinite. Maybe he could get his squad back somehow. Also, I love the things from Sonic X, Dark Sonic (well, everyone loves Dark Sonic, so other much there) and the Shovel Claws! Unless they were in another Sonic game. I haven't played many of the main Sonic games (and I call myself a Sonic fan? :( Well, it's not my fault I don't have the consoles for them!). It's been so long since I've read this, but on to the next chapter!

Whoa, this chapter overall is fantastic.

Out of the members of the Jackal Squad, Flint is so far my favorite member. I love the fact he does bring up the point even though Zero betrayed the Jackal Squad; it's still a nice touch seeing him possibily heading by himself to locate his former leader.

The action scenes, especially the fight against Noise, is an intense sequence with Dark Sonic making an appearance adding tension to the chapter as a whole. I'm on the edge of my seat, eagerly waiting to see what's going to happen next.

Dang, this chapter is worth the wait and despite it being a setup chapter you did a great job setting up where the plot's going to go from here.

The character interactions in this are wonderful especially with Sonic's concern for Tails, along with Noise appearing before Eggman, every single character interaction is well written.

Noise confronting Tails, that scene alone left me with a chill down my spine. You did a great job conveying Tails' terror which alone has me scared for Tails. I hope he's going to be okay.

With every chapter, this fic keeps getting better and better — the plot of trying to find out who Noise is intriguing. I'm taking a guess since Noise possibily has a connection with Infinite if he's experiencing those visions.

The character Noise sounds pretty interesting- I can’t wait for the art!

Either I don't know, or I forgot what happened to the Phantom Ruby. If it wasn't destroyed or sent to another dimension or something like that, then could Noise be some kind of manifestation of the Ruby? That would explain why he can use the powers without seemingly having it. Does Eggman know about Noise? If he doesn't, then he's probably not a subject. As for why Infinite is getting these visions, could it be because of Noise somehow? Or is it just after-effects of having the Phantom Ruby being a part of him? You don't have to apologize for the long wait. It's understandable you were busy with exams and your studies, I'm sure you did well in them.

The plot's beginning to thicken now, especially with Infinite experiencing visions, along with Noise, being able to use the Phantom Ruby's powers without touching it. I can tell Sonic, and his allies aren't going to be happy to see Infinite again, after the jackal aiding Eggman in conquering the world.

Yep, I'd say Zero is good. I forgot that's what they called him during development. What'll happen to Infinite? I hope they don't kill him :( And poor Flint, he didn't make it in time to help Infinite. I will be awaiting the next chapter! Thank you!

How often do you update this story?

I've always liked the headcanon that Infinite's real name was Zero since it really does add potential to the whole Zero becoming Infinite thing.

The brief scene Zero has with Flint is rife with tension since I doubt Flint would want any more harm to come to the rest of the Jackal Squad while showing his distrust towards his former leader is realistic considering the circumstances.

Seeing both Team Dark and the Crow bounty hunters clashing against the Jackal Squad is rife with action. Having Shadow and Infinite fighting once more, is so well done and that cliffhanger at the end has left me intrigued as to what's going to happen next.
