I'm not usually a slash reader... The interesting part is how it's not that different from hetero smut scenes. The dominance part where Hiram takes Archie sexually so Archie is too intimidated/emasculated to fool around with Veronica is deeply disturbing yet highly dominant. Archie as gay/bi is not how I perceive the character, but I think you make the right choice by building a case for it with earlier "fooling around".
