Haha, that's right, Bruce, no one needs you to act tough right now. Thanks for the chapter, and good luck getting over your writer's block! Personally, I wanna see Barry wake up a little and make Bruce suffer. He'll be in a bunch of pain and stuff... Maybe only Diana and Arthur could come close, because of his seizures and lightning, making it difficult for Bruce to help. Maybe he'll throw himself into trying to figure out how to deal with the enemy. Just a thought.

Okay, from the looks of things, the JL movie might have been your first intro to the Justice League and/or DC in general. It's hard to tell BUT

A little primer on how Barry's power works. He has super-speed which enhances EVERYTHING physical. His brain works fast. His mental perception is insane. Think of those super slo-mo Matrix-like shots. Barry's brain does that some time. Also, he heals fast. He's not going to heal a normally life-threatening wound in 5 seconds, but it won't necessarily kill him. His recovery time is just going to be a lot shorter. He can heal up a broken bone in about a week.

So injury plus drowning is actually a good way to approach a whumpy story cuz he still breathes oxygen and if he loses consciousness, he's just as fuked as the next guy. But the wound itself is going to heal over within a day or two, so how to extend the whump? Infection. Fever caused by infection. Go nuts.

Poor Barry. I love this chapter! Some progression in plot, because of course we need it to make sense (personally, I hate writing plot sometimes. it gets boring - and that's why I'm not a good author) and a mother hen Batman. Never seen that before. Honestly, I'm cracking up thinking about that dude in his buff, angry looking suit, acting all worried about the kid.
