Aw, I enjoyed this.

Good old medieval times. That awkward third person perspective where you see things from both points of views. Both Rachel and Garfield are both deliberately choosing their actions to be able to watch the other and neither one knows that they are both doing the same thing as the other. It is both sweet and a little sad. They are basing their actions around what they think the other's schedule is.

So Rachel is a apprentice in a Monastery to learn the healing art, while Garfield is learning the art of horse care. At first I was thinking Rachel might already be a healer or some kind of scholar.

That is one way to force a meeting. Having Rachel accidentally drop a vase on his head. Well, it was a free excuse for Rachel to drag Garfield into her room. Convenient that Rachel's faith does not have a vow of chastity for its clergy.

It was cute at the end how Garfield invited Rachel to ride with him, lessons included.

Also, being a novice means she hasn't taken any vows yet, though it is convenient that Azarathians don't take vows of chastity and she isn't locked in a cloister. Side note: I've met a few women over the years who were novices and once their novitiate was complete they decided to not take vows.

I was wondering where this little gem was, and I love it just as much as I did the first time.
