This story deserves more attention

Ok. So, I just went back and read your author's notes, and let me just say,

'Not a good author?'

Are you serious? This stuff is absolutely BRILLIANT. I rarely read Fanfiction that is as well written and well thought out as this story is. Seriously. You are TALENTED. Sorry. Not a lot of authors on Fanfiction that I can honestly say that to. So...

I do agree with you. It strongly hinted that Gabe was abusive because first...mental abuse, like calling Percy 'brain boy' and 'brat' is still abuse. And Percy did say in one of the earliest chapters that he would 'punch his lights out if he told his mom.' Meaning Gabe has hit him. So Gabe has violent tendencies. And he's an alcoholic, so those tendencies are going to be brought out with liquor. And finally, Percy recognized how his mom flinched, and that Gabe must've been hitting her, which would be really hard for a twelve year old to notice if they weren't used to that reaction from, say, themselves. I love this story. It's really well written.
