I've had quite a rough time the last couple months to say the least.
I have cried, sobbed and hoped for better times. So one day, somebody gave me some money and I, stupid or maybe genius you can judge as I am, I bought Before the Storm. It was the prequel to the best game I've played to that date. I loved the story around Max so much I still have a Chloe cosplay at home and dyed my hair blue, without anyone telling why.
And then this game came and crushed my heart. It was better then anything. Indescribable. I was running around praising the makers at the first kiss scene and tried everything to protect AmberPrice.
Yesterday was one hell of a bad day and I had this fanfiction link saved in my notes
Dear author, as someone with suicidal thoughts and a lot of doughts on themselves I want to say one thing.
You saved my life. I lied in my bed crying and hurting myself, but then I remembered about my two favourite girls.
I just wanted to write, to write down my feelings, my anger and how much it hurts. But instead, I don't know why, I clicked on this link. After a quarter of the story I couldn't stop crying, not of sadness, but because I found out that my favourite girls had problems too. I smiled and cried for about 20 minutes. I couldn't read any further. All my negative thoughts were wiped, I threw my blade away and bandaged my leg. Then I layed down and slept.
Happily.
This morning I returned from a quick checkup by a doctor and finally finished this FF.
Crying again, but a happy cry

That was...hella amazing and an emotional roller coaster. In LiS I never expected they were actually dating. I thought it was just Chloe having a secret crush in her friend.
So if Rachel never died and the storm never hit Arcadia Bay, I'd say your story is very realistic of how their confrontation would go, and the motives behind Rachel cheating and even Chloe kissing Max. (btw who was Max's gf? You didn't actually mention)
I'm still kinda torn between PriceField and AmberPrice, but I could see your chapter being the canon version from an AmberPrice pov.
