Reviews for Jess' Pride and Joy
Dottie Snark chapter 2 . 3/23/2019
Aw, that was another cute chapter. I hope you continue this story one day.

As with education policy and research background the bumping Callie up for being smart while there was still a concern with her socialization was a bit unrealistic to me-at that age soft skills are the most important part of education-but I am willing to suspend my disbelief for the sake of a good story.

I really like the interactions between Jess and Liz. Liz *would* be pushy and not consider what Jess wanted and Jess *would* wind up doing his own thing anyway, and I just loved how that went. And of course, Jess and Callie were so cute. Great job!
Dottie Snark chapter 1 . 3/23/2019
Aw! This was so adorable. I love the way you wrote Jess and how he went from being hesitant but knowing taking care of Callie was his duty to becoming a great father who doted on her. Callie is so adorable too! I like how Jess is raising her to stick up for herself, lol. Oh, and Luke repeating "yours" four times in a row was hilarious.
La La chapter 2 . 2/17/2018
I think that Shane should be the Mother...just saying...
Daisyangel chapter 2 . 2/12/2018
I would like it as a full story. I like the idea of seeing Jess raise a kid.
Nancy chapter 2 . 2/12/2018
Jess is a great dad; I appreciated Callie's fear of leaving Kenneth alone in pre-school. She has learned about caring from her dad. Liz is still going overboard, but at least it is a sort of caring way. Then, there is wonderful, supportive Luke - he just gets better. Glad that Lorelai and Luke are at least good friends. Thanks for your work.
AJ Granger chapter 2 . 2/11/2018
Very cute chapter. I like Callie, and Jess as a parent. Not surprised she's smart considering how smart Jess is. I'm glad he gets along better with Lorelai. And it was nice to see Luke here. Liz is being her usual crappy self. I always wanted more on that relationship, and how she parented or did not parent Jess. I hope the muse inspires you to write more.
AJ Granger chapter 1 . 11/12/2017
Like the name, like the glimpse of Jess as a dad, and going to Luke for help. Honestly, I'm a little sad you kept it to a one shot. Seems like Callie is pretty smart, I'm surprised this isn't kindergarten and not just preschool since she can already read. I can see Jess hanging out keeping an eye on his daughter at her first day (very similar to Luke in your other story). And I can also see him raising a daughter who would defend herself against another kid who picked on her, and Jess's happy response.
Guest chapter 1 . 11/11/2017
This was so cute and I would love to read more if you were to decide to turn it into a full story.
Nancy chapter 1 . 11/11/2017
Cute story. Callie is clearly learning how to handle herself. And, good for Jess for keeping Callie.
Sarai chapter 1 . 11/11/2017
too cute.
