Interesting! My first story read by this author. it's very easy reading, but I note the author is excellent at feeding the reader all kinds of facts for background, scene placement, emotions, without having this information seem like a list. I dislike stories that lose their thread because while the author focuses a lot of time and words on minutia, so no time or space is left for character or dialogue progression. I did not find this here, but I didn't find myself noticing any holes in the story either. My attention was held throughout the chapter. As I said, short but complete. I'll be following.
