I almost hit the back button as soon as I saw the title of the inspiration fic was since that particular story is one of my all-time most hated Naruto fics. However, I've enjoyed reading the stories you've written so far, so I decided to give this a chance. Thankfully, you avoided the extreme wangst of the original fic, so I didn't hate this story. Considering how biased I was coming into this, that's actually high praise.

As far as this particular story goes, I think this would have worked better as a two or three shot. There was so much back story that it left very little time for SasuNaru interaction. I didn't feel much passion for this couple because I wasn't shown the strength of their connection through a sufficient amount of on-page interaction. Sasuke wanted Naruto to the point where he can't live without him because he saw him once as a child? Naruto agreed to live in captivity for eternity (or however long vampires live) because Sasuke's blood is really tasty? It's a superficial passion on both sides, not the deep connection the fic would like us to think it is. "Vampire instincts" can only get you so far as a justification for romance. Telling us their blood calls to each other is meaningless without a decent amount of on-page interaction to show us their bond.

Perhaps if you write another chapter, it could help the romance come out more between the two.

(Naruto must be a very special 'Blood Giver' being a rare male one and all..) It's cute that Sasuke chose Naruto to be his wife and Naruto accepted Sasuke as his husband! (That ceremony or shall I say betrothal got me super aroused and I don't know why...) I fanboyed so hard when Sasuke melted/nuzzled into Narutos hand... (Can Naruto get pregnant? I hope so! You should make a a Mpreg sequel!)

I really enjoyed this one shot. Even though it was only one chapter you still made it so detailed that the reader could understand the back story without being over whelmed.
