Awesome. I really liked this chapter. Looks like the Mario Bros are off on another adventure with Cappy too. I'm excited to see where you go with this.
However, one thing I should note from this chapter is that there were a few mistakes in there, for instance Cappy was Carly in one moment and stuff like that, I'd give it a reread to fix stuff like that. But no, I really liked how you handled Mario meeting Cappy. That was nice. And I especially liked reading the new scene you added between Bowser and Peach. Good call, gives us more insight of what's going down with our villains. Oh and the ending of course, glad to see that Mario saved Luigi and that the Odyssey has taken off. I like the addition of Mario having to save all of his friends too. That's a nice addition I appreciate that gives a little more to the story.
You're doing a great job with this and I really hope you continue.

Oh my God. I think I finally found it. You see, I've been going through quite a few Odyssey fanfics hoping to find a proper novelization and needless to say, most of my findings have been less than satisfactory. Now, there has been an exception or two with a couple of decent ones, but otherwise... nada. Nothing really up to the level I wanted. This was the last fic of five Odyssey stuff I had read and I had given up hope for the most part. But you very pleasantly surprised me with this and for that I can't thank you enough. I'm not usually one for Mario fics outside of Smash but I knew when I saw Odyssey, I wanted a good novelization and I think this is the one. So thank you so much.
With that said, let's get on with the review haha. I really loved this opening. You stuck yourself out there by making it unique what with the star festival and the proposal. It was really cute. The wedding was nice as well and I really liked the cast of characters you picked like my girl Rosalina. And while it was short, I absolutely loved watching Bowser be the ultimate wedding crasher with his freaking armada of ships, talk about upstaging the groom, am I right? You did a great job with the tension of that scene. And the ending? Aw man, you did a good job with the action. Such great things here like introducing the characters and all was really nicely done and I look forward to even more of this novelization. Great job!

Finally! A new chapter! I really enjoyed reading Mario and Cappy meeting each other. Hope you update soon!

Yay Luigi! Awesome way to incorporate Luigi into the story, if not as the eyes in the sky, with his balloons, then definitely a mechanic or navigator.

I think the dialogue between Mario and Cappy, as well as the extra interaction from all the other characters who appeared in this story really added some character and detail to the plot to make it descriptive. You did a fine job on that. It's also interesting how Cappy can now change hats and Mario's costume whenever and wherever he goes rather than have Mario buy the outfits and have Cappy situate with the headgear. I'd love to see more of this story come to life. Great job!

You’re back? Yes! I was wondering when the next installment would continue and Man, It was worth the wait.

Love the first meeting between Mario and Cappy. Those two make a dynamic duo, and I also love how Luigi is joining in the adventure. At least, I think he is. Maybe Mario will add him to a soon to be formed crew.

I mean, like Pauline said in “Jump up, Super Star,” Every Captain needs a crew.

Of course Bowser will marry Peach for power, that is so like him to do such a thing. And with good reason too. I always assumed he wanted to marry her because he needed her to act as a mom to the Koopalings, as explained in the Super Mario Adventures Comics, But I like this reason too.

Overall, a well solid chapter that leaves me laughing and on the edge of my seat. Good luck to you my friend, and do take your time with the rest of the plot.

First off, I love the interactions going into this, it’s very rare that you see interactions between Mario and his friends that’s not told in in-game dialogue.

Something tells me that the certain little creature may be Cappy, Which is obvious but awesome at the same time.

Overall, a really solid start! And I am looking forward to what happens next! I also have to thank you, because you and a few others have inspired me to start writing my own Mario story, so I thank you for the inspiration.
