This was adorable. I won't lie, I kind of wanted a little fluff with Donald being the dad at the end there, but I think your ending with Huey being the resident goodnight-kiss-provider in Donald's absence was adorable as heck. Really cute fic overall. I love how well you build the universe with things as simple as them having the "sicky" thing built into their lingo, which implies they've been referring to a person with an illness as a sicky for some time. Similarly, all the expectations they hold of Huey and how much they had to change their usual behaviors while he was down for the count was cute, too. I can't say I'm a fan of Louie shoplifting the medicine. As much as Donald has been irreverent at times (and Louie definitely gets some of that from his uncle), I really don't see him as the type to shoplift. Even so, this was very, very cute. Awesome oneshot yet again!
