Reviews for The Voice and the Vessel
348joey chapter 54 . 7/11
I'm not sure if Tiki's Morgan is cuter saying "Hi Grandma" to Naga, or if it's Lucina's Morgan saying "Hi Grampa!" to Chrom.
348joey chapter 50 . 7/10
"I realized that it was possibly larger on the inside"
I swear, if he was teleported to a TARDIS to talk to the Doctor, I'm leaving.
348joey chapter 44 . 7/8
I mean, he could just seal Grima away a few times until Tiki became the new Naga. Robin could then kill Grima when he popped up again. Risky, but at least he'd have time to think it over.
348joey chapter 40 . 7/8
That's a bit different from the cannon reason he lost his memory, but it works.
348joey chapter 39 . 7/8
"I heard Lucina call Chrom's name" She used his name? Not "Father"?

PLOT TWIST!
Neat.
348joey chapter 38 . 7/8
"Nearly a hundred risen" That's not that many. At all. There are around 41 Shepherds at this point, and even if a few of them are still herding people outside, each soldier would only have to kill 2 or 3 of them.
348joey chapter 37 . 7/7
"even if it means moving them like sheep."
Looks like they're actual shepherds now.
348joey chapter 31 . 7/6
It's going a bit fast here. They confessed yesterday, and now they have a kid. Feels like we skipped a chunk of the relationship. No input from Lucina, so I guess we're skipping that angst. I appreciate that.
348joey chapter 23 . 7/5
"Especially if Naga ends up being my mother-in-law."
"Gramma, can I go back into the past to save the world too?"
"Doh, alright. Just be sure not to hit your head on the way there."
"Yay!"

"They both love you, and so do I."
PHRASING, ROBIN! Ohh, this won't end well…

I liked the part about the 'first part of me' and 'rest of me'.
348joey chapter 22 . 7/5
I have a feeling Lucina's gonna have her heart broken soon. Shame. Her, Tharja, and Tiki are really the only ones I can see my Awakening character with. I always hate love triangle angst, but at least it's mostly glossed over here.
348joey chapter 34 . 7/3
Robin's being very judgmental about how Noire turned out. In a future where the undead are everywhere, you've already lost the man you love, and your only daughter is too traumatized and frightened at times to move or act in any way, you may be more willing to do whatever it took to keep your only remaining family alive. A small pendant that lets her become fearless temporarily would be very helpful for keeping Tharja's child safe and alive in moments of panic when she would otherwise be a sitting duck. Maybe it's my bias for Tharja and seeming to understand her character more, but I'd never say she was a bad mother. If any of them could be called irresponsible parents, it'd probably be Nah's. All the future children are weird in one way or another, but that's the result of the horrors of their time, not their parents.
I don't think Noire's trauma is used for comedy any more than the others', like how Cynthia and Owain had to bury themselves in a fanciful world of heroes and Saturday morning cartoon villains.
348joey chapter 30 . 6/30
That's not irony; that's just darkly amusing.
348joey chapter 24 . 6/26
"I'm not getting paid enough to fight dragons."
If only the bandits that attack my village had that much sense in them.
348joey chapter 20 . 6/22
That plank of wood is such a tease.
348joey chapter 19 . 6/20
"I'll just have to become immortal."
Don't laugh, Tiki. If he really wants to, he can probably pull that off.
Hopefully he doesn't do it by becoming an immortal dragon of death.
