Lilac Shimmer chapter 1 . 11/15/2017
It's nice to see a sane Azula. The Fire Nation must have some damn good therapists. lol

I kinda agree with Azula on babies. Having a lot of nephews and nieces myself, babies typically don't get cute until a few months in.

It's amusing to think that 'What a Wonderful World' would be a song that Mai in particular would sing as a lullaby. Of course, it's beautiful in its sweetness and idealism and it's not hard to see how you could turn it into one. But, given the Fire Nation's history and the fact that Mai has this sorta Raven-ish (Teen Titans) thing about her, it just isn't the first song that would come to mind.

Oh my gosh. Why are there only 2 comments on this? You really should port your writing over. This is such wonderful writing, in terms of characterization, imagery, and thematically, it really needs to be shared with as much as the world as possible.

You've done well with the subject - closure is a bit shaky and OOC, though.
Robben11 chapter 1 . 10/7/2017
Really loved this. Azula as a character is great because for all of her talents, she is undone by her own inhumanity that she has because of what is essentially mental illness. I've always felt bad for her because of that, and she's really insecure and vulnerable past the outside projection of perfection. Loved seeing that she's gotten help post-canon here, and is better, if not perfect, and is trying to be a good person and mostly succeeding. That's exactly what I wished would happen to her in canon.
