I love seeing the Inugang comforting Inuyasha, especially after his deadly transformation. This is a very sweet yet heartwrenching oneshot, great job hitting me with the feels! :')

that seems like it could be a real canon situation. very in character.

inuyasha has a need to be needed and to protect. kikyou never really needed nor did she ever act like she needed his protection or appreciated it, the only thing she needed was to help her relieve her from the jewel. kagome tries but needs him, loves him and even if she learns how to protect herself, she'll always need him. being with kagome is more fulfilling and what he needs, will always need.

I just imagined him watching over her sleep or seeking out comfort he didn't think he deserved. My heart melted when his scent was still on her. I loved the plan. Actually quite brilliant. Another good story!

Great job! I loved their plan though it was kind of drastic, poor Kagome. Glad to have Inuyasha back _ Bet he was checking Kagome at night time and that's why his scent was on her, awww!
