Go get ‘im Hetty! Great chapter. It’s so good to see small signs of progress- the acceptance of therapy, the smile, the banter with Nellosaurus. I loved your description of Deeks deriving comfort from Kensi as “heartwarming and heartbreaking.” That rings very true to me. I hope Troyger doesn’t disappear too quickly. I want Deeks to have a chance to stand up to him- perhaps at his trial? At any rate, this was a great chapter to leave us with until you return. Safe travels!

Nice! I liked Nellosaurus’ reunion with Deeks. I’m curious about how easy it was to apprehend Troyger- why do I feel like he has more up his sleeve?

Welcome back, and bon voyage! Hope you have a great summer at camp, and I hope it's in a beautiful part of the country! Would you believe I was just wondering about this story yesterday (honestly)? You must have read my mind.

Gee, surprise surprise surprise, Hetty's responsible for pulling some strings and getting information to her team. What can't that woman do? Nice job comparing Deeks' last trauma to this one, with his head not spinning this time because he now has something to compare it to. Glad that Deeks agreed to participate in therapy, whether he'd promised Kensi or not. Great Scooby Snack comment, and perfect coming from Velma/Nell. And poor Troyger doesn't know what's about to hit him, does he? A Good thing Hetty doesn't have access to a tiger at the boatshed. A shark, maybe?

Bummer that we won't get an update until after the summer (just because you can't post doesn't mean you can't write while you're away, though, right? Hint, hint), but I hope you enjoy camp!

Loved the last two chapters which I read together - I somehow got behind on this story as although I'm getting notifications about updates it doesn't appear in my view. Hey ho! Caught up now! Loved how Deeks tried so hard to help his friends with information and how gentle Callen and Sam both were. Love the interaction between Deeks and Kensi - you've got that spot on. Now this mysterious package from the CIA has turned up. What favours has Hetty called in or has she 'threatened' someone? Can't wait for more

Heh, so I guess I'm not being nit picky! Thanks for doing this - they don't do it enough on procedural TV shows, IMO...take us down the wrong path or have the main characters make the wrong assumptions. Hmm...wondering now if Deeks' being betrayed by a fellow cop will ultimately lead to him deciding to join NCIS? Aww, nice use of Bates, there. Glad to see Deeks realize and understand that the best thing he can do for himself, Kensi, and them as a couple is to let her help him. I also like the pacing of this chapter - the switching between Densi and the rest of the team worked well, IMO. Great job!

I like the way you counterbalanced the story of Deeks and Kensi's emotional states with the team actually making progress, and working as a team to solve the case. Your portrayal of Deeks' emotions, feelings, and fears is perfect.
