Wished there was more, but love it anyway. It become very dramatic in chapter 2 but in a good way. All the brothers had their breakdown, but they all worried for one and that was Mikey himself. That really just needed a hug.

Awwww so beautiful.. When I saw that episode with Splinter, I cried like never before. I never cried for a character like this. It was soooo sad.

Bravo! It's an extremely well done piece filled with livewire emotions, and you can see how this was the problem. They were all internalizing their guilt and it was festering. Yet they've reinforced their bonds to each other, cleared the air (for the most part), and interestingly enough, your word choice made me think of, well, actual animals and how vital physical contact is for them.

The amount of effort and emotion that went into this is honestly incredible. Thanks so much for taking the time to breathe life into these characters, and give them an honest and healthy release like this. While I'll never accept that Splinter's death in 2012 was necessary, especially when they still seem so young and lost without him, it's astounding that instead of shattering, they're holding each other together. They're growing, and at the end of this, they'll be stronger than before.

Now, if you'll excuse me *sniffles* there's a desert in my eye.

The feels though I literally had to stop a few times so I wouldn’t cry in public this was so damn nicely written I loved it and went and re read the first chapter I think you wrote them all so well and so spot on since they aren’t in touch with their emotions and yet you did it so well and I agree some more emotional components could have been a thing in the 2012 series. But again awesome chapter 3

I loved reading this chapter. It was absolutely amazing! It was so emotional, wow, it was just , incredible. I loved how you wrote it. How you described what they and mikey felt. It had a very nice and natural flaw to it. I cant wait to see the next chapter and how all this is going to turn out in the end

Wow just wow! What an beautiful well written fanfic :') I wish that something like this would have happened in season 5.

Stories like these make me seriously question why the hell shows don't use fanfiction writers for their episodes. I mean, this is the exact story we deserved in the fifth season. And I get they can't show that everything as this story is already graphic but damn, but this is something they should've touched in season 5. They lost their father, they all obviously have PTSD of some sorts from every fight with the Shredser and Kraang. It should've shown more in season 5.

Luckily there are amazing writers like you! And I'm eagerly waiting to see what happens next (albeit quite scared to see what comes next)

That was amazing! Admittedly, when you said the youngest was going someplace he shouldn't, I thought you meant sneaking off in the middle of the night to be by himself, not idly browsing suicide websites. Leo's panicked reaction was understandable, yet so was Mikey's. He's convinced they won't give him a chance to explain and, well, he's probably right. Emotions were running too high.

Thank god for April, though. A few of the things she said and talked about felt astoundingly sincere, and on a level beyond the context of this story, I was glad to hear it.
