This was my reward for doing what I needed today, and it was exactly what I needed. :) "Han couldn't hide his surprise. How could Luke possibly be wanted by Vader? He was just a kid!" ! So in-character!

You do both Han and Leia perspectives well in your writing, and I really enjoyed seeing this from Han's POV. The tenderness between them is lovely. The moment when Han relaxes knowing Leia hasn't been touched is nice.

"Blast this whole blasted day." The repetition of this paragraph (and the rest of it!) worked really well for me. My poor babies. :( Han knowing he was in shock was also a nice detail.

AND THEN THEM HOLDING EACH OTHER! OMG!

"If only this intimacy wasn't forced, if only they were somewhere else... He stroked her back, absorbing her warmth and enjoying the chance to hold her. He found the edge of her shirt and pulled it up, throwing all pretense and propriety to the wind to wrap his arms around her bare skin. She felt hot and wonderful. His eyelids grew heavy as he nodded off."

*crying emoji* I loved this.

"I don't know. He said... It would keep you alive." / Han gave a sardonic snort. "I guess that's good."

Gahhh, that moment when Leia says "They're going to hurt you" is so deeply affecting to me. The helplessness of it; the inevitability... So awful. (But so good!) I love this story.

Han giving Leia something to remember literally choked me up: I fought back tears when he was taken away. I loved that you had him voice his desire for her to wait for him (though that also made me sad, knowing what's about to happen). Favorite line: "Leia hoped he tripped on his pretentious cape." Don't we all, lol?

"Thank you very much for the comfortable holding cell." Now there's a line you can really hear in Han's voice (much like the rest of the dialogue!). I like that you had Lando buy them a short return to their suite (as well as her hoping she tripped on his pretentious cape - lololol!). That Han/Leia "remember" moment was VERY nice too (SOB). Also really like that last paragraph. ;) I like that you have Leia changing her clothes of her own volition! I feel like I don't see that very much in fic, and it feels like a really strong choice.

I like how you handled the change of clothes as a plot contrivance, but also how it sparks all those random thoughts in Leia.
