This is a well-written story and I'm surprised it doesn't have more reviews. I really liked Faye as a unit in the game and was so sad at how dirty IS did her (especially since they MADE her for the game). This story is what I'd consider a realistic sad story (because I think even with a pairing like Alm and Faye, there could be happy realistic stories). I enjoyed this story. Keep up the good work!

Ah, this is lovely! Well, not in the usual sense, but it's wonderfully written, and I feel like this is pretty much exactly what would happen if Faye got her wish of being with Alm. She gets what she "wanted" without realizing exactly what she's getting into. As unhealthy as Faye can be, she's definitely a fascinating character to get into the head of, and I think you nailed her here.

I also really liked the bit with Kliff right before he leaves. He would be the one to catch on and (somewhat) call attention to it, I think, so that part was spot-on too.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this story! I've always disliked how Alm and Celica were preset to be with each other instead of the players choosing. She loved him with all her heart and yet gets an unhappy ending. Reminds me of Melia from Xenoblade Chronicles, but her crush ended up with his childhood friend. I hated how the game made Faye just to make her suffer and I love this fanfic so much. Please make more Alm x Faye stories. They don't get enough love.

A very impressive story. I love that realistic feeling you potrayed in the what if scenario of Faye and Alm being together. You perfectly captured the tensions and feelings of Faye and Alm without going out of character one bit. Keep it up!

This is a very touching and realistic story. I've always had a soft spot for unrequited love, having experienced it myself. Maybe I'm the minority, but I don't care. I like Faye. I like her character and I like how she fights through all the pain, physical and emotional.

I love this so much I don't even know how to convery my love for this.

I love how you showed how she would handle being Queen and it feels right. Of course she would feel like this, especially after the death of Celica. That will always weigh on her, will always be there.

This story went in a different direction than what I thought was going to go. I thought it was going to eventually go into Faye's Epilogue and delve into how she going to cope when Alm no longer part of her life. This is an interesting angle to take.

Such sad, yet, enjoyable story. I liked how much Faye struggled to finally have her feelings being recognized by Alm once he moved in from Celica... Though that was the end of many things... And the ending? I really liked it, an eternal struggle to reach their happines. An happines unreachable...
Let's not add the fact that Faye herself realized that she wasn't the one meant to be Queen and so at the side of Alm, but Celica. Thank for such a nice story, since i liked a lot Faye.

This was definitely a very interesting, if sad, story, a believable 'what if' Celica died. I'm happy Alm was able to move on and Faye's feelings were finally requited, but at the same time it's heart-breaking how miserable she is as queen-and I truly think she would be miserable as queen. And yet there's that tiny bit of hope at the end, that things will get better for her-for them.

On a smaller note, I really like the thought of her inventing the 'Anew' spell herself. Nice explanation for why she's the only one who has it.
