Loving the story so far. I've read a few and they all are arceus sends someone to the pokemon world to gather his plates, but this is fresh and original and I'm loving it more than any of the others i've read. Excited to read more ;)
Insane Dominator chapter 24 . 7/31/2018
I apologize if this review was delayed. I would’ve gotten it done a lot sooner, but I had to make like 4 other reviews today in elongated detail, and there are other stories that I am taking today to read, but you get how that goes, but rest assured, nothing much but a typical review from me.

So, it looks like you are taking things and turning them into yet another boiling point for that matter. It appears as though you are molding a single group that was comprised, and then adding a few more players. In some odd sense, this reminds me of My Hero Academia, where I appreciate how the writer centers a lot around the class’ other students like the shapeshifter, Iida, a lot of them for that matter holding up their own character arcs! In a sense, I somehow see this, and with Erza and Wendy and Carla with Kurt and Lowell; you’d expect Team Natsu, but no. And now soon to come, Shadow Gear is coming around to aid at some point.

So, for the beginning, let’s take a look at Team Shadow Gear’s interactions. The way that it’s set up is that Jet and Droy are always fanning over Levy, and no matter what they do, it’s clear that they do not stand a chance and cannot get a date out of her. Still, they try to interact and win her attention, and this is where it comes to me as some sort of stir. In the canon, they aren’t typical about their own love interests, mostly because they choose Levy under fruitless terms, but when she’s around other guys like Gajeel, they gape, and they don’t like it too much, until overtime of course. But still, with them as this knowing Levy isn’t interested in them and fawning about another guy is rather insulting. Maybe comical, but to me it sounds a little uncharacteristic about them allowing Levy to fawn in front of them. I mean I’d be appalled. Point is that I think next chapter or in future chapters, maybe show a little more of them showing care for attention.
But still, I forgot, exactly what did the job entail that those three had to see? I have some scary thoughts of what they could be, but it’s too soon to point and jab fingers haphazardly.

Meanwhile, the group making way with Sigilyph as a guide is closing in on the destination. Coming up, they will be getting to the enemy, and to shorten the length a little was Dragonite, and Flygon, Kurt’s next Pokémon shown. Her personality matches that of a primidone, if not just a little less. She is spoiled, but does care a little. I know her Ability might be Levitate, but I’m curious with what kinds of moves you have her have? In any case, all three were selected to bring them closer into the cave, where they enter.

Dialogue aside, I thought you could’ve shorthanded the conversations until at some other point, if not at all, because all that talking was a lot, and quite possibly a little unnecessary. But still, they got through, and that’s where they go and confront probably the main boss, if not secondary, Etna.
This girl sounds a lot like the cliché arrogant woman, who always underestimates her chances and does what she can to claim power. She’ll take the benefits of others and steal them in exchange for something far greater, and beyond that, she does use psychology when bringing up Pokémon. I’m surprised that she didn’t have a Pokémon of her own. Given her style and magic, I would’ve expected something like a Fire or Steel-type, but that’s just what I would’ve thought. Her magic is much like Juvia’s, only with fire, so attacking her is hard unless you do non-physical. I’m curious if Toxic will work? If used by a Poison-type, it NEVER misses, even when the opponent uses Dive or Fly! I’m not lying!

But the battle itself was going well for the most part. You were writing it fairly well with some combinations used, and you were making sure to emphasize the level of strength Etna had compared to Titania. Maybe Erza is holding back, but I doubt it this time around. If she’s that strong, will she be a recurring problem in your story I wonder. She has upper body strength and wields an axe well, so she’s difficult to handle if provoked. That’s where the Pokémon come in, and the battle began to change tides when Greninja and Sableye show up with Shadow Ball and Greninja ready for action. With both having some sort of advantage, they’re bound to get something in.
As for the conclusion, you finally showed Mega Evolution for Sableye! Mega Sableye, and while massively defensive and awake, I can’t help but feel intrigued and scared if Etna is going to try her own Pokémon and Mega Stone, or steal theirs and drain power for her own ambitions. It’s hard to say, but I can’t wait for next chapter when this all unfolds!

So overall, while the chapter had decent action, it was still heavy with dialogue. Not too much scenes that could altercate, but the chapter was a nice giveaway to what will go down for the second half next chapter. I have a feeling of many possibilities, but I can’t wait to see what you have to offer!

Insane Dominator chapter 23 . 6/29/2018
Well, I was glad I got this review in. It was in my phone though, so it's a little on the short side, but I have a VERY long week coming and I won't have much of any time to do my usual antics. That includes FanFiction. So for this, better now than never as they say.
At any given rate, you were right when this chapter was heavily battle oriented, but even so, in a good way. You did an a-okay job in executing two/three battles, and to that, I saw decent showing of awesomeness! You executed abilities, moves, move effects, and typing all very well in every one of these battles. Ranging for Erza and Lowell, to Wendy, Carla, and Kurt. It was all done well.

Grammar wise, I saw little to nothing wrong. You had it all going good at many points, though I feel you had some ',' exaggerated in many parts.

The beginning, we have ourselves at the guild hall, where there, you have us a wonderful taste of life outside the battle that's going on, like what we saw in the Oracion Seis Arc. You had Natsu and Gray's rivalry glower into their Pokémon, and like them, they began to fight. However, this time around, it's just Lucy apparently to keep them in line. I remember in a Pokémon episode that a Pokémon can pick up in a Trainer's emotions and anxiety and in turn affects them; this principle was placed in the Charmeleon and Sneasel, and it makes me wonder how exactly this will end up in the future when more battles and tougher opponents erupt.
Also, at the guild, you showed Mirajane and Zorua, who showed off her ability to become a grand show of Mira herself! Lol I hope guys don't try to flirt with her, otherwise they'd be shocked knowing they were flirting with a fox XD
Also, at the guild, you showed off how Team Shadow Gear was to make themselves known. You have foreshadowing here that revolves around Levy and her team, with demonstrating Jet's newest Pokémon Ponyta. I know we talked about this before, but given its usefulness and Jet's magic, I can only guess her ability is Run Away, though we shall see later on if what I guessed is right when we see them take the same job that will lead them to Lowell supposedly.

Back to the primary battles at hand, we get to Erza and Lowell VS the Wind Mage and his revealed Sigilyph, where the battle ultimately becomes a Pokémon battle with Erza added to the mix of it. In this battle, Stunfisk returns to the battlefield, and with him, his next move shocked me incredulously. I was excreting something like Sludge Bomb or Sludge Wave, hell maybe even Bide, but Toxic really threw me off my game. That was a surprise in its own right, and that's saying something. Though when I think about it, Route 14 is where in Kalos one gets Toxic AND Stunfisk. It would be an interesting backstory to see if Lowell got Stunfisk there and taught it Toxic for against Valerie, but let's just see what you intend to do.
Anyways, the Pokémon was in fact Sigilyph, and not just anyone, but the kind that's easily seen as a pain. Sigilyph having Reflect and Light Screen alike are the most definite of annoyances, and it's attacks weren't all that strong either unlike Exploud this chapter. It's ability, however, I love to have in my side. It saved me a lot from poison and burns in battle. Knowing this made Toxic ineffective, so much for Stunfisk's Toxic! But with it seemingly comes with little strength as Erza did manage to plough through with No Guard and Honedge. That was pretty good if you to implement Fury Cutter and No Guard. I know I did that combo ALL the time in 'A Contender's Bonds', back when Erza had her Honedge. Might I guess that's where partly if this Melee combat came from? But that aside, one thing you've forgotten; and that's Bug-type moves are regularly effective against Psychic/Flying like Sigilyph.
However, in the end of the day, thanks to their usage of moves and partially of abilities and typing, Sigilyph was defeated, and the trainer was knocked unconscious. Having a conscience, the Sigilyoh was tired of being a slave and chose to side with Lowell and Erza while his Poké Ball was shattered, making him free once again.

And onto the next battle that was primary, we have Exploud show up, and it caused a huge ruckus that messed with the group incredulously. In no way dos Wendy, Carla, nor Kurt have fun with the experience. They and Sableye were at a loss for how tough Exploud was, who, in my perspective, had a much tougher fight imposed. Its Disarming Voice, which was odd and weak if you ask me, with Boomburst, made it hard to tell what the last couple moves were, but what mattered was how it and it's Soundproof Ability made it a good partner for the Sound Mage. Wendy's hearing was taking damage, and Sableye was fairing no better. This was where you have two more surprises: Toxic and Goomy. Once again, surprise washed over me when Toxic was learned by Sableye too. First Stunfisk, and now Sableye. I was expecting Mega Evolution, or sown thing like that, but maybe another time. We had to deal with enough surprises already.
And next we see Goomy take action as well in this battle against Exploud. Though if I were honest, I feel as though that Disarming Voice would've eliminated the Dragon-type, but that's how I see it. Anyways, the moves are Rain Dance, Dragon Breath, Bide, and...Bubble. Aww. Everyone loves Bubble. I'd be shocked if it still had Bubble as a joke when becoming Goodra, that'd be something XD But thanks to Bide, Dragon Breath's paralysis, and a little of Sableye's Toxic, the battle was won, though it felt a little too tough for Kurt considering his ranking.

After winning, they all finally meet up, where they ready themselves to get to their employer and get to the bottom of this mystery once and for all!

So, at the end of the day, I say you did a pretty okay job when it came to coordinating the battles promptly. You made the scenes appropriate for placing, and you've left us much to think about. For example; Sigilyph, what will become if him later on I wonder? I would think something good or maybe sow thing that would make him go away somewhere, but we will see.
With also Team Shadow Gear taking the job from the beginning of the chapter, we will also be seeing the later on in the story no doubt, and I can also guess that they will be in the makings of some battling too, if not comical relief.

Good job overall, and nice surprises! Hope next chapter has just as much as this one offered. :)

Guest chapter 22 . 5/24/2018
Why did lowell not use any pokemon!
Insane Dominator chapter 22 . 5/20/2018
Hey man, sorry for the late review. I would've typed this up sooner, but my laptop is being updated, and in talking like those super long ones that take an hour at least, so while its busy cooling its heels, I'm writing up on my iPod.
At any rate, this chapter was finally able to convey some sort of action placed within two scenarios, both around two parties inside the town where the fight was to begin. With these two parties, we get different perspectives, as well as knowing the interactions between two characters, specifically Lowell and Erza. On top of which, we get to see how they fair in a fight together against an average level person, someone like Erigor, while Kurt gets into interactions with Wendy and Carla against a Mage with sound waves.

So when we look at the interactions first, we get two conversations; one with Lowell and Erza, and another with Wendy and Carla with Kurt.
Looking at Lowell and Erza as they have a nice chat with breakfast, I felt maybe they should've ate on the road, or maybe at the very least have a Pokémon on stakeout. Having food while on a profiling job seems like they would've missed a chance to catch the guy if he flew passed them and went at houses, don't you think? It's just my visual of it, but at the very least, Erza's experienced enough to deal with it, at least how I perceive it. But with then fueling up, we find that the two have a similar pattern in terms of speech. Both are bound by social awkwardness so they aren't familiar with speaking casually, and both spent their childhoods isolated somewhere, in a tower or in a house. And to this, they are able to get comfortable in an awkward manner, though through the not-so-soft approach by Erza asking about Levy and Lowell. To my indifference, the guild has been paying attention to their relationship, like Levy and Lowell have been unaware of the other's affection, making this a superior ly ironic scenario. I know this is a bridge that will more than likely be tampered with a hundred different times coming up, but with what's coming around, I feel that Levy and Lowell wil have more coming for them. But for Erza and Lowell, so far, they at least seem to be in good spelling terms, and on good notes too if not counting the cheesecake glare lol
Now when we look at Kirt taking to Wendy and Carla, this was a unique twist in character. You'd never think that Kurt would be the kind of guy to talk to a little girl like Wendy, but since she's the only one around, guess he didn't have a choice. But nevertheless, it was a good interaction as we see how Wendy is so experienced and so casual, yet Kurt is less forward about it. In fact, he's very worried about physical combat. That's another form of irony right there since he always seems to have issues taking up fights with guys at bars or anywhere when NOT sober, but this is a different fight, because to the death is in this predicament. So I can see the wisdom poured from Wendy when I feel she might be reflecting off Kurt.

Now we then get to the two fights at hand. One Mage, the younger one, is essentially like Erigor. He can use Wind Magic, making him fast and hard to hit. And then the second guy, he's the older brother, who uses Soundwave Magic, which is very potent in the area they are fighting in. It can bounce off solid objects and hit the others with explosive volumes like a Boomburst. Air and sounds both travel at amazing speeds, making these two opponents very tough indeed.

Both Kurt and Lowell were doing what they could with there expected skill level. As one would have predicted, Kurt in a physical standpoint offered little to none, while Lowell was using his magic to the best if his able-bodied capabilities, and did quite well despite some lethal injuries ascertained. Both Pokémon Trainers were able to help Erza and Wendy as they were the forefronters in their respective battles. They did most of the work while the inexperienced were the backup.

Now when we get to later on in the battles, we soon get a change in pace from Kurt, as he reveals someone other tha Blaziken - his Sableye.
So Sableye, from what we have seen, is a sleeper, who usually works for gems and rocks. And otherwise has a short complexion at hand.
So when we look at his skills as well, we see that his Ability is possibly Keen Eyebsince those Soundwave attacks did nothing, and we also see his moves so far are Fake Out, Feint Attack, and Shadow Ball. Not a bad play so far, though standard. I wonder if next chapter we'll be seeing that 4th move.

So we are then left at the part where they are about to send out their Pokémon, which, if we can recall, are Exploud and Sigilyph. With how it was set up, I feel Wendy VS the Wind Mage would've made more sense; we'd see her Dragon Slayer powers at work with eating air and gaining power, but we shall see how you make it all work from this standpoint. As for Exploud, I question how it'll go against Sableye, with its sound attacks like Hyoer Voice and Boomburst doing nothing at all.

So overall, this chapter was pretty okay. It was still a nice way to spend my evening, and we saw Liwell and Erza beginning to cooperate to a degree. We also see Kurt being able to show more of himself while the girls of Fairy Tail exemplify their experience right before them. We also see Sableye, a new Pokémon for Kurt's team, and with the setup for next chapter, it feels like it'll be a completely different change to a full-on Pokémon battle!

Hope to see that all come to fruition and hopes to another update soon :)

Insane Dominator chapter 21 . 4/22/2018
It’s a good thing I am taking the weekend off my daily writing, otherwise this wouldn’t have come for a couple more days. I am thrilled to see another chapter updated, even if it was a little lagging when it came to the ways of confrontations. However, this chapter was really more or less of a leeway or a bridge to next chapter’s possible confrontation. Let’s get started with the overall basis that this chapter covered.
So from what I gathered about in this chapter, we got a village in the mountains where Lowell, Kurt, Erza, Wendy, and Carla are all taking the job request as per the other day. Here, they meet the mayor and learn that brothers are common thieves who steal money and food, and are now hired to rob people of Pokemon, leaving Lowell and the group to issue a warning before they decide to act later that night or the following day.

In terms of grammar, I see no any prevocational flaws here. There are hardly any flaws that I saw, and the punctuation seems almost on point. Kudos for keeping that in mind.

The scenery itself, as well as the context that carried with it revolving around the village is simply sublime to say the least. We’ve already induced the concept that this lacrima and ethernano was the reason this group got transported and converged Earthland and PokeEarth alike, but their concept this time has been reduced to what seems to be a prelude. You have a concept revolving around these thieves it seems, but what it may be is still in the dark. As far what anyone can tell, they’re common thieves who just try and survive due to failed opportunities. Now, with Exploud and Sigilyph, it seems they can do a lot more.
I can vouch for both the Exploud and the Sigilyph for surprising Pokemon choices. Exploud are pretty strong Pokemon when used offensively, especially with their Hyper Voice and whatever moves. They are a very versatile breed, and I raised one well. As for the Sigilyph, I won’t draw conclusions as of yet, but we might see its Ability in action. It’ll be something to see its ability as well as the irony of Lowell’s statement on Sigilyph coming to fruition. They can in fact be annoying, so thanks tor making this work as an opportunity.

So when we get to the basis of it, we get away from OCxLevy drama, and we instead jump to a mashup team to possibly bond Lowell with Erza and Wendy. Considering that the Kalos Arc excluded her, this is going to be some makeup basis for them both. It’s a good counterbalance, because I have a feeling Team Natsu will be as a whole when a certain time comes around. We might even see Kurt interacting and getting perspectives on professional fighters like Erza, but who knows as of yet?

In a twist of fates, we also get some perspectives on the villains or deuteragonists of this arc, which are once again the bandits and mountain thieves. We get deeper into the enemy lair, where we see that inside, they are still trying to sap Pokemon power instead of use magic and what not to try and fix the lacrima or whatever mechanical means it was that mixed them all together. To this prospect, we meet another female, who seems to be using some form of fire as torture. She seems to be in leagues with the scientist who wants the Pokemon, but what piques me are the motives, and what exactly it is that will transpire in the long run throughout this arc. Just who they are and what their reasons are, that’s what I want to know.

For the most part, when it comes to context, this chapter also goes into as much depth as it normally does, but the plot itself is shorthanded. We don’t get too far ahead now, but we at least get a decent prelude to what is to be expected later on. In my opinion, it felt that the speech with the townsfolk seemed a little unnecessary. He could have just send a telegram to each home or run a messenger through town, but this was I can be content for the time being.
At the end, however, I was very much surprised at how it was that you chose to have Lowell and Kurt have a moment to talk. Both rivals and friends were able to take solace, but within that time frame, it shows how more vulnerable Kurt is to being attacked. He is right though, when Pokemon Trainers don’t fight, and as seen in the anime, they can take damage very easily. Lowell in in the gray area in my books, because he now has magic, but that leaves me curious with where he stands on durability. Kurt, however, is vulnerable, and as such comes to a more experienced Lowell at readying for anything.

So overall, while this chapter was short on plot, the details were as I expected them to be. They were very concise, and we got into the gist of what it is that will be happening in the next 2-3 chapters, mainly implying the works of the thieves, the battle, and then the unknown later on. I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of good things happen, as well as whatever items or berries you may very well appear in the next chapter.

Hope to see what comes next be very exciting! :)
