Thank you for combining my love of unapologetically kick-ass feminism, Leia, and subversive embroidery into one fic. I can totally see Chewie embroidering a "congratulations on the sex" sampler whilst trying to ignore the noises coming from the Captain's Quarters!

Hahaha! Did I miss this on Tumblr? Oh man, you have such a deft and shrewd timing, a comic ease that both conceals and imparts effective sting to the message, both implicit and explicit in the needlework (lovely Carrie allusion too). Just delightful, but also- how do I put this in a way that encompasses what I love about what's happening here?- there's a wonderful faceted quality to this that lets aspects of character subtly appear, so amazing in such a short work. You have the humor of the Rogues, Han thinking about the workmanlike practicalities of needlework, Luke seeking to understand, Wedge distilling the wit, Chewie with sage formality, Leia visibly having none of any bullshit. It's charming on one level, persuasive on another, and always with your recognizable and distinctive dialogue. So enjoyed this!

Oh, I just really love this. I've always thought Chewie and Leia must get along great because they have no problem telling Han or anybody else what they think.

I started smiling the minute Janson put his foot in it with Leia. And then he just kept digging... I was thinking the same thing Wedge eventually said to him: "Stop talking!" lol I love Leia's climbing eyebrows, and the sense around the table that Wes is treading on thin ice, and those-in-the-know are rather amused by his hasty backtracking. The idea of Chewie doing needlepoint is just so oddly PERFECT, too, and I don't know why. Seems unlikely given the size of his paws, but I can totally envision him doing it. Leia's pretty needlework being the outlet for her spicier feelings is perfect, too.

Stars above, I love this SO MUCH. So unique. Fluffy on the surface, but with a solid core and meaningful character development to boot. All the relationships at play (the Rogues; Luke; Chewie; H/L and even Dodonna, et al). And Chewie's congratulatory message is hilarious. Nice work.
