I liked the chapter, and I actually found myself more interested in following Ulen the geneticist instead of Athrun.
In part because it's smaller in scope, my lack of canon knowledge is less of an hindrance, but also because I find it interesting to read about gene technology in sci fi.

a sentence got a bit mangled wasn't sure what you meant:
"But there was something apparent change of heart "

Another sentence:
"had seen experienced something horrific recently"

I am not sure where this is heading since it diverted from the OT story curious...very curious

I have absolutely no knowledge of Gundam Seed so whatever this flaw is and how it's being 'fixed' is going completely over my head.
A quick googling tells me a protagonist just got killed off, so I'm curious at to where this story is headed.

If Athrun being with the Archangel is AU, I hope you add new branching storylines.
