forever-ioand-ever chapter 16 . 1/24 I absolutely loved this story! Honestly, I've always pictured Henry having to run for one reason or another before telling Jo about his immortality but every time I've tried to write it it just sucks... You handled their conversation about his immortality really well - I appreciated that it was more drawn-out and that both Henry and Jo had to take time away from the conversation to process. Fantastic job! |
WittyReviewer chapter 16 . 8/15/2019 I loved this story. So glad Henry went home in the end. Also loved all the tiny flashbacks via show quotes. |
JediPanda22 chapter 16 . 10/18/2018 This is a very sweet story. Your attention to details and accuracy are incredible. I really loved all the references to the episodes. On point. The bit about him disappearing and then 6 months later sending Abe a post card was precious and something I didn't know I loved. Thank you for writing this story! |
BlackHearted chapter 16 . 6/16/2018 A truly excellent story! I loved the way you built up the relationship between Jo and Henry, without rushing anything. This was a delight to read. |
KenH chapter 16 . 5/24/2018 A wonderful end of this story! After all they've gone through, that they keep pushing romantic thoughts out of their minds, or pushing those thoughts to the back, drives me bananas! I mean really! Both Jo and Henry need to yield to what they both know they want and need, each other. If they got married, Jo would be a step-mother to a 70 year old! I love it! Please, may I have more? Thank you very much for this story! |
superlc529 chapter 16 . 5/19/2018 So sweet! So glad I finally got a chance to read this concluding chapter. I love that Henry decided to come back home and apparently subconsciously wanted to all along. :) I really loved the mention of Henry and Jo going to visit Henry's long-deceased siblings and such. That was such a nice touch. Loved his reunion with Abe in New York and I really like that they have a game plan for what to do when Henry goes back to work and for what they are going to do about Adam. Such a great Jenry/Mortinez hug there at the end. Nice job! :) |
ForeveristCloisJenry chapter 16 . 5/17/2018 Awww ! So sad that story is over but it was truly a good one and as per usual I enjoyed it. You're as evil as I am, not bringing the two idiots together right away, they're literally dying to hehe :p and of course, it's not only a thank you embrace, nothing can be platonic with these two ;). What do you mean they're back to where they are in episode 15? Like teasing each other and acting like the married couple they are? Or planning their wedding and their future family? xD. Joke aside, I really did enjoy that story. It was bittersweet and adorable and I could see it happening like I was watching a couple of episodes. Thank you for writing it and I'm looking forward to reading your next stories. Great job :) |
foreverHenry919 chapter 16 . 5/16/2018 Ooohhh, nice ending. Love that Henry was urged by Jo to see the changing of the guard. And that he had taken her around to places he remembered from his childhood and other times. If you have anything more to add about Henry telling Lt. Reece - or not - this is fine. Thank you for this. |
Sonia chapter 15 . 5/7/2018 Sorry to be late in reviewing! And I'm not logged in but I'm reviewing in my tablet Henry Morgan. *smh* of course he will find a way to die. He always does it LOL. I can picture Jo's frustrating face when she finally finds him or even when she watched him die. Indeed he always gets himself in troubles Lool ! so when she found him near the shore and stroke his scar my kind was screaming what it often screams with them : just kiiiiiisssssss ! You know you want to I just love how Jo is relieved to see him alive and thought about everything in cases something like that was about to happen and of course it was going to because hey he's Henry Morgan ! I hope they both will realize how much they need each other now especially Henry So it's the penultimate chapter ? Already ? :( Well I enjoyed that story and that chapter a lot so I'm looking forward to reading the next one and I'm sure it's gong to be great Great job |
KenH chapter 15 . 5/5/2018 An exquisite chapter! When Jo asks "What am I going to do with you, Henry Morgan?", my mind went straight to, *ahem*, Jenry moments. What Henry is considering that would require Jo's assistance? We'll see. Thank you and I look forward to your next chapter! |
superlc529 chapter 15 . 5/4/2018 I was not expecting that, but it really fit at this point in the story. I absolutely loved both Henry and Jo's thoughts. It definitely is one thing just *hearing* about Henry's immortality and another actually witnessing it. I love how it seemed to just dawn on her that Henry had to have experimented on himself with aconite from when they first met. Henry's worry over Jo was sweet. Thank goodness Jo came prepared - don't want poor Henry to freeze. ;) Henry's thoughts about the similarities between Abigail and Jo made me smile. :) Great update. I'm curious to see the concluding chapter. Keep up the great work and post it when you can. :) |
ForeveristCloisJenry chapter 14 . 4/26/2018 Hey! Sorry, I'm so late in reviewing but student duties. I really enjoyed that chapter! As per usual it was very well written! My heart ached for that poor Henry. We all know Nora made him suffer and even dead, she kept reminding me how bad she has been to him. I love to read Jo's thoughts as well. Things aren't easy for her to accept but as usual, she remains by his side and she's very devoted. *sigh* Henry just put a damn ringer on her finger. He finally opening to her about what the torture he went through and going back to the nightmare location, really helps Jo to understand better what he's been through. And she's right, I had never thought about it that way but considering what he suffered for two centuries, he has been very brave not to isolate himself from the world, I mean all thanks to Abigail and now Abe for this because pretty sure he could have done it. Loved Jo's wise words at the end *be still my Jenry heart*, please. I could totally picture the last bits perfectly and I could picture her big brown eyes staring at him, like the woman in love she is. Another great chapter, I look forward to reading the next one |
KenH chapter 14 . 4/21/2018 A most exquisite chapter! When Jo thinks "If she were to stay friends with him...", her brain may be thinking "friends", but her heart, the one that made her follow Henry to England, search for and find him, is thinking "lovers". I have no doubt that Henry will "latch onto something she said and hold onto it", and hold onto her. They're good for each other, they complement each other and they love each other (even if neither have fully admitted it to themselves yet). Thank you and I look forward to your next chapter! |
foreverHenry919 chapter 14 . 4/20/2018 Wow, wow, wow. Henry. Still so scarred from the bad treatment he'd received from his first wife and others. Night terrors versus nightmares. Thank you for the explanation of the differences. Glad that they are able to keep their friendship going after Jo's blowing up at , this chapter is chock full of angst! Hopefully, opening up to Jo and showing her what he went through soon after his transformation and unwarranted commitment to Bedlam, will lift some of his burden. We love these two and love your story. Continue, please! |
superlc529 chapter 14 . 4/20/2018 Jo gets a glimpse into Henry's past via a museum. He finally told her about Nora. I think it was time for her to know about his other wife. What Jo said was true for Henry - his second shot at life turned into a nightmare thanks to Nora's betrayal and Abe and Abigail (technically) "bringing him back to life." And now all his friends at the morgue and the precinct are doing the same. His friends will what will always be the difference between him and Adam. Nice update. So proud of Henry for opening up more and more to Jo. It will make their flight back to New York all the more meaningful and better for both of them. :) |
