had to do a serch for this story, based on the author's note in an other tale.
It took some time , But I am GLAD I spent that time!
this is a fic that makes you wonder, especially at the end. I used ot read X-men buyt stoped for a while, then heard about the "trail" and such. later Remy showed up again and I always wondered "how did he escape the freezing cold". this one doesnt answer it exactly, but I get the impression that he _didn't_ and his ghost now seeks warmth as it searches for something so it can rest.

At least he has the good sense to not go back there. None of them deserve him. And these people look like they'll at least try to help him come back to himself.

Where is Gambit going? That last part was eerie when he compared Remy to a ghost! That was a cool comparison.

for everyone who says that this is Rogue-Bashing: This is a look into the mind of a guy who was abandoned in the snow thousands (hundreds at least) of miles from anyone. He's a bit upset, and not happy (who would be?)

Secondly: yes, I (the author) know that Rogue wasn't just welcomed with open arms to the X-men (actually, there was a huge fuss, & Wolverine almost left...) BUT when does it ever cover the personal issues of how they joined up? Not - oh, let's have a flashback, but 'let's tell the new guy all about how nobody wanted me in here and how we made her unwelcome'. Rogue was already established by the time Remy got there, he wouldn't know otherwise unless someone filled him in.

Interesting fic. Like Remy working through his feelings. My two niggles are that this: a. bashes Rogue and b. the X-Men did NOT welcome her with open arms. In fact they would've happily booted her out if Xavier hadn't stuck up for her.

I hope you continue it...and update soon :) I wanna see what happens to remy...if he confronts the xmen...you're a really good writer...the way you describe everything...especially his eyes. that's just how i imagined they would be if he maxed out his powers keeping himself warm...and the way he's radiating cold...that too.

I think this is very touching. You have a good writing ability from what I've read so far. I think you are definitely good in the feeling part of the story.
