Yea! Given Cannon has the HxH world knowing about DNA I've pondered the possibility of 'pika cloning the eye's DNA it give a jumpstart to rebuilding his clan and some genetic diversity to move forward with.

wow, really awesome read! I mentally screamed 'nooooooo!' when you explicitly stated that they are brothers, even though there was foreshadowing of a brotherly relationship between them, given that in one of their mind conversations, Kurapika sees Quoll in his younger brother's guise, but in the back of my mind, I still hope for a possible deviation from that brotherly route to a romantic one. but even so, this doesn't detract from the realistic adventure and the widening of possibilities of the ruby eye to the opal eye... I have always wondered about the implications of an inbreeding clan and if they die out, what happens to the ruby eye, which is a purebred trait. Haha, all this inbreeding business just reminds me of the sharingan and the hyuuga clans in Naruto. I'm glad you explored that possibility, and I'm just super happy that Kurapika is not alone in this world! I've always been a bit saddened by the fact that Kurapika chose to harden his moralistic heart and goes for revenge to do justice for his kin, my heart totally wrenches during the scene when he fights Uvo in the 2011 anime, so I'm glad that your Kurapika is not totally blinded to vengeance and revenge but can pull himself from the edge and see that this revenge business is never that straightforward and clearcut but full of multiple grey areas and also come to terms with it. in a nutshell, even if it's not a romance, I really enjoy your awesome fic and all of its complex, multifaceted characters and intriguing plot :) more cookies and kudos to you :)

I don't know if you'll ever read this after so long this fic was completed, but I had to say something after finishing the reading of this fic.

I was postponing the reading for ages, I knew it was good from some comments I'd read but I didn't know it was that good.

I liked it, I liked it a lot. The idea was so original, having my fave yaoi pairing turned into brothers, a plot with intrigue and substance and a fluid writing. Now I'm tossing myself out of the window for not reading it before.

It's definitely going into my favourites so I can keep re-reading it! Lol! Good work, though I see this was done quite some time ago. Still, it is absolutely impressive! I get the chills thinking how much better you must have become since this fic!

But I do like this Quoll and all his interaction with kurapika.

I'd put this off for such a long time because of the _length_, but it was definitely worth reading. XP

this is a great storyline. i kinda wonder the same thing when i noticed kuroro's huge eyes. hehe, im feel really anxious for the next chapter. btw, in this story they wiped out the chimera ants, so that means gon, killua, the hunter chairman and the rest of them are gonna get rid of the stragglers?

Kuroro and Arissen interaction - Loved that bit about daddy grounding Kuroro for his fashion sense. Once again your talent at writing interactions between unlikely characters makes the story itself so believable. I found myself looking for signs of the old enmity in the second part, where Kurapika's scheming with Feitan and company, but everone's mellowed down nicely in the face of Kuroro's abduction - perhaps just a bit out-of-character if you want to base things on the canon, but I don't see anything that would hurt the flow of your plotline. Oh, and Kurapika yelling at Phinx and Feitan to settle their argument with a coin-toss? That was priceless!

"at least two teams too close to winning..." - Gon and Killua somewhere in those two teams, I'd gather?

I'm jealous of the way you're able to come up with new skills so easily. It's something that I dare not do lightly - too scared that Togashi might suddenly release a chapter with more information on unknown skills...
