But seriously, I loved this fic. You write Mikoto in a way not many people manage to do, and I always felt she was serverely underused in the main series. More like a plot device for Itachi and Sasuke than anything. (Then again, all Uchiha outside them were) Still you would think they'd give something to Kushina's best friend, the Uchiha Matriarch, and Sasuke's mom. It's stupid really.

That aside, I would really love if you wrote more of this, or even just another Mikoto fic entirely. It's always nice to see these kind of fics, they're honestly some of my favorites. The ones that include family aspects and humor yet acknowledge family isn't a sunshine and roses. I will definitely favorite this (Again? Not sure if I have yet. I might have already) and reread probably. Please continue writing, even if you do so by going to a completely new genre. I would still be interested in your work.

P.S. I love that Mikoto obtained her Mangekyo when Kushina died. I always wondered why she didn't have one, being the clan matriarch and shinobi. You'd imagine she's seen some shit. Or that she'd even obtain it when hearing about Kushina's death. But the answer's obvious. Kishimoto ignored the side cast, and pretty much the entirety of the female cast. :/

Why not switch it around and make Kushina and Naruto befriend an orphan Sasuke(after the massacre).

Definitively needs a sequel. What will Orochimaru and Danzo do now that there are more Uchihas? How will they infiltrate Akatsuki? Since Itachi will already be seventeen during the chunin exams, will be the one to face Orochimaru, without a Mangekyo will he be able to win?
How much will change?

I hope Mikoto can stay alive and only fukagku parish, and itachi can train naruto and sasuke.

Actually I don't think Itachi is being too OOC as you or the reviewer think so. I remember in the flashbacks Sasuke had of when he was younger, Itachi was smiling in them. While it was mainly only when Sasuke and Itachi were alone, they both were still smiling.

Itachi always smiled when around Sasuke so it makes sense he'd smile around Naruto
