Waverider 1o1 chapter 10 . 11/22/2019 Good story, very optimistic and easy but on the other side - they are the heros, naturally they win. Even a fight with cancer. :) Good job! |
Mauraslover chapter 6 . 12/9/2018 Regarding how long the fic is. Well to combat that you could make it a series. I know that would be more work but it would allow you to deal with all aspects of the illness and any outcomes. Regarding Maura's hair falling out there are actually some chemo drugs used where this doesnt happen. |
Mauraslover chapter 4 . 12/9/2018 A person getting chemotherapy doesnt always loose thier hair. My mother got several doses of Chemo and had all her hair right up until the day she died in November 2016 |
Mauraslover chapter 2 . 12/9/2018 I've read this story a few times and do like it a lot. I do have a slight issue with this doctor who delivered the devistating news to Maura. He called her Miss Isles several times. He's bound to have known who she was and that she was also a doctor so its only professional curtesy to use the title Dr instead of Miss unless Maura specifically asks him not to use her professional title and you've not made that clear as far as I can tell. It is a really good story though and I have to stock up on the tissues when I want to read it even though I'm technically a 'big tough man'. :) |
Jaxz chapter 10 . 12/6/2018 What a great story, beautifully written. You done a great job. |
Hiccup28 chapter 10 . 5/19/2018 This was one of thte most beautiful and heartfelt stories I have ever read. Thank you |
Mauraslover chapter 8 . 1/9/2018 This was a wonderful and so moving chapter. I dont know if it was intentional or a coincidence but Maura wanting to watch the sunrise reminded me of the scene in the movie beaches where Barbara Hershey's character is dying of cancer but wants to watch the sunrise one final time before the end. I'm a guy but this almost made me cry. I hope Maura doesnt die because I dont think I could handle that. This story is definitely getting favourited. Very well done. |
Sunshine chapter 10 . 12/31/2017 Great story, it was a great concept and I already love your next story " to love a girl". Thanks. |
Bovary chapter 10 . 12/24/2017 Awwwwww! |

Mauraslover chapter 10 . 11/22/2017 Loved this story and its getting added to my favourites immediately :) |
Mauraslover chapter 3 . 11/22/2017 This is a very good, moving story and I am enjoying it thoroughly. There one thing I would like to bring to your attention though and its actually something that I've noticed in a lot of fanfiction stories. It concerns the working relationship between Maura and Cavanaugh. Maura isnt a police officer so Cavanaugh isnt her boss so she really doesnt need to disclose her illness to him or ask for time off for treatment. Maura is a medical examiner and her only connection to Cavanaugh or the other police officers is that the work in the same building. If you remember the episode where Suzie was killed Maura got suspended and the person that suspended her was the Governor because its actually him thats Maura's boss and not Cavanaugh so its the Governor who she would need to tell about her illness. Otherwise its a wonderful story although its actually making me a bit sad not just because of what poor Maura is going though but because its a bit too close to home because at the beginning of the year I actually lost my mother to this awful illness. I just hope Maura is ok and doesnt die because that would just be so so sad. |
Guest chapter 10 . 11/18/2017 Thank you... :) |
sally rally chapter 10 . 11/19/2017 I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did. I hate it when Maura hurts. But I actually loved it. Thank you for writing and sharing and the happy ending. |
