I got a morbid sense of satisfaction from this. I know it is wrong, but there may be times when one finds people beyond saving, and this is the only solution.

Of course, it is almost too merciful to do such a thing...almost.

I can't really blame Soundwave for still wanting to go back to Cybertron. He knows full well that, if the Autobots ever found him, they'd take Ben away, no matter how much he tries to protest that. He seems to actually dread that outcome, so he's trying to distance himself from Ben before that happens.

It's alright, Soundwave- I don't want the Autobots to show up either.

First and foremost, I am touched that my comment got you thinking about Soundwave's symbiotes. This chapter was a great opportunity for us all to learn about his others- and I like that dark touch of Ratbat. Personally I was greatly shocked and appalled when Soundwave revealed those details, but seeing how you were inspired by his "psychotic" version, it all makes sense. (Is this referring to the IDW series, if I am not mistaken?) I admired how you stated that Soundwave's symbiotes take on his personality, and may I ask what that makes Ravage and Buzzsaw? I can kind of see Ravage being the "protective" part of him, but what about Buzzsaw? There is so little known about that one. Aside from the information about the symbiotes, this chapter teared me apart with all of the emotions. It hurts me so, that Soundwave is afraid that all he touches is lost to him, and that those feelings are almost strong enough to abandon Ben- for his own safety. I am a sucker for stories with that theme. Another thing I would like to add, is that this chapter was a great opportunity for us to see inside Soundwave's mindset, and see him at one of the weaker points of his life as he mulls over the many deaths that surround him and the effects of the nightmare. But those last words... agh! Don't say that Soundwave! Such foreshadowing, and I am dreading (read as: sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation) for the inevitable "wrong" that will come.

Such amazing writing and work, and I am glad that I was able to inspire you.

I rather enjoyed the psychotic element Ratbat brought into the story. I could picture the evil, crazed look on his faceplate perfectly!
I can almost expect him to pop out at any moment now. :o

That was a really good chapter. I especially like the dream sequence and how you managed to make it surreal while keeping Soundwave's reasoning intact. Dream sequences are fun, because an author can just go to town and write whatever they want. It's like the word equivalent of a Disney acid trip montage :)

Wow, that was a really creepy and scary chapter. Seeing that Soundwave still scared about the past and fear about the present. I also have one question: are we gonna get any fillers chapters?
