WHAT?!

Dang, didn't expect Loresearcher to get killed off just like that.
It's been fun reading this story after reading the original Stone Cold, and trying to find all the connections to it, though I can tell going forward some things will be very different. That scene with Scarlet put me a bit on edge though, something about alternative bad endings to franchises I really like has always unnerved me.
Excited to see where this will go!

Will we ever find out what happened to Crystal?

And you’re gonna make another story- a sequel?
Pls do, there are still a few loose ends in the story like Crystal.

So this was the final chapter? It feels like there's still a climax to be had with Crystal, though I guess the bulk of that is really meant to be held in a later story. Something tells me when Torrent and Nightreader have kids, and Crystal comes to petrify Nightreader, she'll get Stonemover too, and that'll be how he winds up like he is in the books. Don't know what will happen to Griffin, but I suspect that the epilogue will have something crazy happen to kick of the next story.
Can't wait!

Dang, it's too bad we didn't get to see more of Erosion before this because that could have lent itself to some serious karma there. Though I'm guessing the point here is to show how dangerous and unhinged the other animi are, and how even with erosion down they're not safe yet. Don't know what the scale is about, but I can't wait to see how this story concludes.

Something tells me Nightreader won't be able to just walk up to her brother, and Torrent's probably going to jump in before Erosion can finish Burn off, likely to Burn's protest (the irony of Burn being saved by a SeaWing after killing two of them as an example would be hilarious). I bet Erosion already knows about Torrent's immunity to magic though, and she could easily threaten someone else he cares about, possibly Nightreader after spotting her sneaking to her brother, or griffin, or someone else, with her magic. Also, of the four I think Gazelle is the most likely to die first. She had a special connection with Erosion and might try to talk her down, only to be smushed by magical might, and then Torrent comes in for the kill while she's distracted or something. Of course, that still leaves how Stonemover becomes half petrified, which might be when Erosion demands him to use his magic. Maybe she'll even force him to use magic against his sister!
Kinda went a bit wild with the speculation there...

Also, who's Princess Blackice? I might just be forgetting something from earlier in the story.

I have an odd, but important question.

Is Orca really dead?
Because it was really never clear that she died, we saw her falling into a ravine in the water and then like 50 chapters later nothing happens.
She’s dead right?

Cus I want something like Orca saving torrent, or Orca and Crystal teaming up.
